It's just too bad this is a one-use item.

Sure, the tree(s) look nice for three minutes, but you have to grow them for a day and waste veggies you could have grown..
Would be better if this was a repeatable use item with a 10 minute cooldown. Or that they'd actually drop fruit or something...

Here are just a few ways you can use this otherwise pointless item. You just have to be creative!

Put it down in front of a boss and sarcastically ask, "got wood?"
Put down several in the Seat of Knowledge and re-enact the classic tale of the Forbidden Fruit.
Bring some of these to an in-game wedding!
Plant one on the throne in Orgrimmar and give the Horde a smarter Warchief!
Drop one on a boat, a tram, a turtle, a zeppelin, or an elevator, and look at it go!
Feeling bored at Blacksmith? Drop a few trees, and rename it to "Lumbermill."
Add some color to Hellfire Peninsula. For the love of all that is Holy, please add some color to Hellfire Peninusula.
At the next guild meeting, set one of these down in the middle and tell everyone you're 'branching out' to other fields.
Write an orchard or grove into your machinima script next time you head out for some Starfire Espresso.

before i came here to see what purpose these trees served, i noticed that my agi flasks are called Flask of Spring Blossoms, so i assumed that these trees would have an area effect that might grant some useful stat

Check your buffs when you plant this tree. It will sometimes give you a haste and damage buff of 20%. Lasts 20 seconds.

This is a 'rare plant' (I believe, this means anything above what you can get originally.) And, the 'Rare Plants' can drop the Terrible Turnip seeds (Ominous Seeds) more easily.

The seeds are sold by Marchand Verte Terre on his second vendor page at Halfhill Market in the center of Vallée des Quatre vents and become purchasable via Laboureurs reputation; Autumn Saplings at Honored, Spring at Revered and Winter at Exalted.

Pretty sure the "use" of this otherwise "useless" item (other than vanity purposes, of course), is it is the earliest "uncommon" quality seed you can obtain, and offers a higher chance of harvesting an Graine inquiétante.

I think it might have been part of a quest, for Farmer Yoon, one of his dailies is to plant a certain plant. Maybe it was going to be part of daily plant originally for Yoon or some other character, but it was cut for some reason, and now it does nothing? just guessing. There are plenty other "useless" items that just have minor small special effects, but they are all "blue" rares.

I am quite sure the first time I planted this tree in front of Gina Mudclaw it gave me 360 rep with the Tillers unless it was something else and I didnt notice.
