It says that these start a quest so I clicked on some of them and I got a "restored artifact" That is great I thought as restored artifact are the currency that you need to by stuff from Bran Bronzebeard, the new Archaeology vendor at the seat of knowledge. But it bothered me that every time I had enough Mogu relics to solve I got the same thing, that is ...another one of these coins. So I waited until I was lvl 90 to solve any more of them. They still are giving me the coins that start a quest but now it says that I do not meet the requirements for the quest >.< I have 3 restored artifacts and 6 pristine coins in my bags now with no clue as to what to do with them.

Occasionally while working towards finishing the common Mogu artifacts, you actually end up completing a 'Pristine' version of the artifact instead. Hand in the subsequent quest at the Seat of Knowledge in the Val de l’Éternel printemps (there is nothing else that needs to be done) and you'll receive one Fragment de statue mogu and 3x Artéfact restauré (which is an archaeological currency for MoP).

The location 'The Seat of Knowledge' for all hand-ins to Chroniqueur Cho is above the Palais Mogu’shan in the Val de l’Éternel printemps and can only be accessed with flying.

Getting ALL Pandaren and Mogu 'Pristine' artifacts will also earn you the achievement Le siège de la Connaissance.

It's also worth noting that while you can accept these 'Pristine' quests at level 85 (as soon as you get the quest item), you physically cannot reach the area you need to hand in at until you're 90 or unless you get a level 90 friend with a two-person flying mount to taxi you up there. You'll already know this, if you've managed to leg it into the zone (like me) and stood mere inches away from the hand in, with no ability to actually get to it. Lock summons can also do the trick here (this is also the part where we lament the good old days of mass summoning). Otherwise, be patient and wait till you're big and bad enough to do it yourself!

Since there is a Quest for each pristine artifact, you can use a macro command to check if you've already completed each quest.

For the Pièce mogu en parfait état / Pièce mogu en parfait état:

/run print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(31794))
A result of 1 means that you have done it already, and "nil" means you haven't completed it yet.

Or you can go visit The Seat of Knowledge in The Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and stroll around the museum exhibit to view all your completed pristine artifacts.

Or (lazy bones) open your Achievements panel and view your progress on The Seat of Knowledge.
