Brothers and Sisters.
We need to keep our eyes beyond our shores. The mists have fallen. We, the Shado-Pan are the next and final line of defense.

The first to come, as you know, were the Horde and Alliance. While they have not show themselves to be hostile, we continue to follow them with a wary eye.

The next to come did not arrive by air, but from beneath the sea. The makrura have shown increased activity on our shores, which suggests a possible future attack. I will highlight a few high-priority targets to look out for.

AKKALOU
This female has been known to attack the fishermen of Sri-La Village in times of hunger. Reports vary whether she is simply a nuisance or an outright menace. Last seen on the rocks southwest of Windward Isle, in the Jade Forest.

AKKALAR
Akkalar is renowned among his kind for his thick carapace. his brazen attacks on the Jinyu of the Jade Forest suggest either arrogance or strength. Potentially both. Last seen on the southern tip of the Jade Forest, south of Pearlfin Village.

DAMLAK
Omnia scholars have suggested that the makrura have some capacity in magic. Those who have seen Damlak know this to be true. This shadowy creature wanders the islands and seafloor between the Cradle of Chi-Ji and Nayeli Lagoon, in the Krasarang Wilds.

KISHAK
A furous warrior from the icy waters of the north. Last seen patrolling the rocky coast of Kun-Lai Summit, west of Zouchin Village.

CLAMSTOK
An absolute brute from beyond the wall, known for his overwhelming strength. Even the mantid keep a fair distance from this one. Last seen off the northwestern coast of Zan'vess.

ODD'NIROK
Odd'nirok does not fight with his claws as the other makrura do. Instead, he possesses a crude shamanic power, fighting with the force of water itself. He was last seen on the shores south of the cliffs of Sik'vess, in Townlong Steppes.

CLAWLORD KRIL'MANDAR
While we are discussing makrura, I must mention Kril'mandar, known as the Clawlord, or the Terror of the Southern Tide.

Kril'mandar has NOT been seen in years. Our lookouts along the southern wall have inspected his island, far to the west of the Cradle of Chi-Ji, and have not seen any signs of his return.

Remain vigilant.

I suspect that the descriptions for Damlak and Kishak are the wrong way around. I found and killed Damlak in the area described for Kishak and found and killed Kishak in Krasarang wilds location described (on the western tip of the largest island in the south, just north of the shipwreck indicated on the world map).

This item drops off one of the mobs it tells you to go kill. So if you happen to kill an elite makrura just for the heck of it and find this and someone's shell in your bag and don't know how or why you got it, that's why.

It tells you the locations for 6 elite makrura and the final elite makrura that you have to summon once you have the correct items.

No one has given coords yet so, here you go:

AKKALOU is found in the Jade Forest, South of Windward Isle at (59,36)

AKKALAR is also found in the Jade forest, South of Pearlfin Village at (59, 94)

DAMLAK is found off the shore of Unga Ingoo (big scenario island to SE of Cradle of Chi-Ji) in
Krasarang Wilds at (38,88). We found him IN the actual water, not on the shore like the others. It took us a bit of swimming around to finally find him so he might have a big patrol path because he was swimming around.

KISHAK is found in Northern Kun-Lai Summit patrolling the beach West of Zouchin Village (he patrols a fairly long stretch) at (51,18) approximately. If you don't see him fly up and down the beach. He walks pretty fast.

CLAMSTOK is found in Dreadwastes (for you who are all "Zan'vess? Where the heck is that?" because it doesn't say Dreadwastes in the scroll) on the Western side of Zan'vess (the big island in the south) at (27,69)

ODD'NIROK is found in Southern Townlong Steppes, on the shore South of Sik'vess at (42,92)

They each give you a shell with their name on it (ex: Damlak's Clamshell), each shell looks different. You need to collect every shell to make the Clamshell Band.
You need the Clamshell band to be able to summon CLAWLORD KRIL'MADAR. He is found on his own island, named after him, in SW Krasarang Wilds, at (12,81).
He is the one who drops the actually useful items, like the fist weapon Lobstmourne. They're neat starter blues to upgrade from your questing greens. And they are NOT unique, so you can do it all again (because the clamshells and the clamshell bands are used up and disappear) and get one for each hand.

Each makrura, including the Clawlord are solo-able. If you're a priest, you might want to bring a buddy, that's about it.

A little side note: on your way up to Townlong from the Dreadwastes, you can stop off at (27,16) and take about a good half an hour (exaggeration, but it does take a fairly long while) to kill GOKK'LOK (though the real fight is killing the adds that come to protect him, the clam itself is just a... a clam.. he just sits there), a giant clam who gives you a quest ( Promises of Gold) you then turn in at Rikkitun Village (35,19 Dreadwastes) who gives you a neat little novelty item for it: Grokk'lok's Shell. The shell, when clicked on, spawns an open clam under you, puts you in your underwear and makes you /blush. (I'd /blush too if I was suddenly in my underwear).

Anyway, hope this was helpful. I had to swim/fly around to find these guys so I figured I'd post coords for the rest of you. Happy hunting! (Sorry there are no links, I don't know how to do that =x).

After you locate, kill, then loot each Elite minion, the NPC you will be summoning with the collected shells is Seigneur des pinces Kril’mandar, located on an island on the SW tip of Étendues sauvages de Krasarang.

Abilities (used by each minion of Kril'mandar):

Akkalou - heals herself with Healing Rain, Rejuv, and Healing Touch.
Akkalar - Uses Frost Armor, Earthshield, PW:Shield, and has a CD that reduces damage by 25%.
Damlak - Casts multiple shadow based spells, ex: shadowbolt, Curse of Doom, Curse of Agony.
Palourok - Casts Slam and his melee attack hits for 15-20k on mail.
Zarb’nirok - Chain casts Waterbolt, does ~30k frost damage.
Kishak - Uses Blessing of Kings, Bloodlust.
