I found mine near The Legion Front, which leads me to believe that the location varies.

I found mine in felfire ravine, so it seems the area varies
just follow the hot and cold prompts from quest

For those that don't know what to look for, it's a small purple-ish item on the ground.
The journal does tell you where to go look, but the Blizzard UI will also show the area on your map.
As you get close you will get a debuff showing cold (blue), warm (yellow) or hot (red).
Once you get to the "hot" area, look on the ground for the item.
You don't need to kill any mobs.
