Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes Now Live!
2010-12-13 à 21:32
Another day, another batch of hotfixes! Blizzard is clearly working around the clock to correct issues players are experiencing since Cataclysm, and I must commend 'em for it, even though they have been stealth nerfing things here and there.\r
Some noteable changes\/fixes include:\r
Players should always be properly granted credit for completing the "Defending the Rift" quest event. (Vashj'ir)\r
Guild experience caps were being hit faster than expected. As a result, guild experience gained through questing has been reduced. (See our blog)\r
The droprates on all Bind-on-Equip items in Cataclysm dungeons have been reduced.\r
Disenchanted green items are now giving more materials as the item levels increase. This change also ensures armor items give dust more often than essence, and that weapons give more essence than dust.\r
and most importantly\r
Sheep packs no longer instantly respawn. (Uldum)\r
That's right, no more straight cheesing
Désinsectiseur de la mort

More Cataclysm Hotfixes Live! (December 8th)
2010-12-09 à 00:27
Blizzard has released yet another round of hotfixes (you can check out yesterday's batch here), most of which affect Cataclysm 80+ leveling zone quests. There are also a few profession-related changes, including some reduction of node density for gathering professions in specific zones, and apparently "Fishing skill gains were increasing too rapidly past 500 skill and have been adjusted." Yeah, cause there's always been a huge problem in the game with Fishing leveling being soooo fast. :P\r
Blizzard has stated that some changes may not be implemented until realms are restarted. You can check out the detailed list of fixes and changes after the break!\r
First Round of Cataclysm Hotfixes Now Live!
2010-12-07 à 15:08
Blizzard have just released yet another (huge) batch of hotfixes for patch 4.0.3a, addressing post-Cataclysm release bugs. Many specific quest issues were addressed with this patch, so if you were experiencing any problems check to see if it's been resolved! Not too many major changes, though if you were wasting time killing the opposing faction's flight trainer instead of bothering to experience new content, Blizzard has made it a bit tougher for you.\r

New Round of Patch 4.0.3a Bugfixes Now Live!
2010-12-02 à 19:29
In case you were wondering what your Launcher might have been downloading, Blizzard has released a new round of bugfixes for patch 4.0.3a to fix a few pressing issues. The most notable change include fixes to the requirements for
Quêtes du cratère d'Un'Goro
so that they can actually be completed by both factions - future Loremasters rejoice! Other important changes include a nerf to the
Chapeau de pêche déformé
obtainable from the new cooking daily reward bag - sorry twinks, the +40 Stamina \/ +40 Spirit has been drastically reduced to a +3 Stamina \/ +3 Spirit bonus. And speaking of fish - players will no longer be able to catch Cataclysm fish until they actually have Cataclysm.\r
Check out all of the detailed changes (including some important class changes!) below!\r
More Hotfixes, or "Why Gamon Will Wreck You"
2010-11-30 à 22:38
There's a new round of hotfixes going up on live servers, and this batch includes yet another round of buffs to Gamon!\r
Gamon is now immune to all forms of crowd control, uses the abilities Charge and Battle Shout, and wrecks adversaries with his new two-handed axe.\r
Players should no longer be prevented from entering a Battleground for no reason.\r
Many loot tables for NPCs have been adjusted to provide the correct items and scaling.\r
The Alchemy bonus from Flask of Stoneskin now grants 120 stamina, up from 80 stamina, to keep it in-line with similar bonuses from other professions.\r
Many creatures in Uldaman were not awarding reputation upon death. This has been corrected.\r
Wrathbone Reavers, Wrathbone Sorcerers, and Fallen Warriors no longer grant reputation in Pit of Saron.\r
Players can again start the Thrall escape event in Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad regardless of quest status.\r
The temporary guardian Basalt Rockling no longer drops from Balboa in Azshara.\r
Magma-Lord Kolob in Burning Steppes no longer awards dungeon tabard reputation.\r
Hotfixes and Mysterious Patch Download
2010-11-29 à 20:43
We mentioned this on Twitter and Facebook, but I figured it'd be good to get this posted here as well: The Blizzard folks have released another round of hotfixes onto official servers, and a brand new patch download. This download is not a new patch. It's actually a re-push of Blizzard's last patch, because some people got an incomplete download the last round.\r
It's not a new patch, it's actually "re-downloading" data which will replace current files. It's intended to resolve a few issues including disconnects and 'pink squares'. \r
As it's not a patch, if you're extremely eager to get into the game (or it's taking too long) you can actually bypass the launcher and run the wow.exe in your game directory and play normally. You can then continue on downloading it later after you're done playing.\r
We've also had a bunch of new hotfixes deployed on live servers, as listed by Zarhym below. Check after the break to see them:
