When Season 2 comes to a close, the Tormented Hero will be awarded to the top 0.1% of Mythic+ players. We're taking a look at the current rankings and cutoff for the title.
Current Tormented Hero Title Cutoff
The Road to Rank 1
With the launch of 9.1.5, Blizzard added a new title
Héros tourmenté : saison 2 de Shadowlands
for the top 0.1% of M+ players in the game based on their new scoring system. Recently, a
cutoff for faction transfers
of characters to achieve the Rank 1 title was announced and has occurred this reset. This implies that the end of season is near, and now is a great time to see what the requirements for the title currently are. A lot of this data is available through Blizzard leaderboards and off of
Raider.IO
if you are looking to look around yourself! It is also important to note that the cutoff metrics are based off best guesses for how the rating will work since Blizzard has not commented on it directly.
Horde vs Alliance
In a surprising turn of events.... there are a lot more Horde characters than Alliance characters receiving the prestigious
Héros tourmenté : saison 2 de Shadowlands
title. In fact, there are around 1.8 times the amount of Horde characters than Alliance characters that will be receiving the title that we can currently track.
Additionally, the highest margin of difference is 116 points from the Korean region where their Horde cutoff is currently 2,888 and their Alliance cutoff is 2772. This difference is almost a 1.5 level differential between just Horde and Alliance! This is largely to do with the fact that there are a lot more Horde characters in general, but there is also a even larger disproportion of Horde characters at the high end of the scene. Meaning for regions like NA the Horde cutoff is 62 points higher at 2796 than the Alliance cutoff at 2734 and for EU the cutoff is a staggering 84 points higher for Horde at 2824 than Alliance at 2740.
NA vs EU
It can finally be put to rest. EU > NA at M+.
The European region has almost a half keystone advantage (2824 Horde, 2740 Alliance) on the NA region (2796 Horde, 2734 Alliance) while also having 40% more players. This means that the average player doing keystones on EU is better than their NA equivalent while the top end is also substantially higher. So that settles that, EU > NA. No questions asked.
The Real Rank 1 Team
Even though the title goes to the top 0.1% of players, there can only be one true Rank 1 team. That title currently goes to the
Sheesh team
who sit at an insane 3143 score currently. Their top run is currently a
31 Necrotic Wake
! They've also done other bonkers runs such as
30 Plaguefall
and
29 Theater of Pain
. This group even holds the Rank 1 throne by around a 3 dungeon differential over the current second place team, and were the first team to do a
30 during Shadowlands
!
