More Heart of Azeroth Essences are obtainable in Season 3 Rise of Azshara, so we're back with our Essence spotlights! As as reminder, Season 3 will start on July 9 US / July 10 EU,
two weeks after
Rise of Azshara launch.
Today we are looking at the three Essences available from Mythic+ content: Anima of Life and Death (Tank), Essence of the Focusing Iris (DPS), and Life-Binder's Invocation (Healer).
Anima of Life and Death
Anima of Life and Death
is a more offensive Tank essence, utilising your maximum health to deal damage to targets alongside providing additional health and healing.
Essence Effects and Ranks
The
Major
power of this essence is the active ability

Instant

cooldown
. Deals 10% of your maximum Health in Fire damage to all nearby enemies within 8 yards and heal for 5% of your maximum Health for each target hit, up to a maximum of 25%.
Rank 2
: Reduces the cooldown to 2 minutes.
Rank 3
: Increases the healing per target hit to 10%, and maximum Health gain to 50%.
The
Minor
power of this essence is the passive proc
Anima de vie
:
Rank 1
: Increases your maximum Health (scaling with Azerite level) every 5 seconds, stacking up to 10 times. This effect is lost if you drop below 35% Health.
Rank 2
: Gain a stack whenever you kill an enemy that grants Experience or Honor.
Rank 3
: When at 10 stacks, heal a small amount (scaling with Azerite level) every 5 seconds.
As with all essences, Rank 4 provides a purely cosmetic upgrade to your ability effect with no impact on gameplay.

Essence of the Focusing Iris
is a burst AoE cooldown in its Major slot, with a more single target Haste boost that discourages switching targets too frequently for a Minor.

. Deals Fire damage (scaling with Azerite level) to all targets in a line in front of you over the duration of the channel.
Rank 2
: Activation cast time reduced to 1.25 seconds.
Rank 3
: You can cast and channel this while moving.

Minor
power of this essence is the passive effect

Rank 1
: Your damaging Spells and Abilities grant Haste (scaling with Azerite level) for 4 seconds, stacking up to 10 times. Stacks are reset if you directly cast a targetted ability on a different enemy.
Rank 2
: Haste granted is increased by 50%.
Rank 3
: When you have no stacks of Focused Energy, gain 3 stacks from your first ability cast on a new target.
As with all essences, Rank 4 provides a purely cosmetic upgrade to your ability effect with no impact on gameplay.

:
Rank 1
: Your heals have a
15 RPPM
chance to plant a
Graine d’Eonar
in the affected Ally.
Rank 2
: All
Seeds of Eonar
have their duration increased to 15 seconds.
Rank 3
: Any Ally affected by a
Graine d’Eonar
heals every second for a small amount (scaling with Azerite level).
