Glasses! This was another Hackathon project that I made for fun in our free time. I wear glasses most of the time and I've always wanted some in game, so I made a bunch! Shoutout to Russ Petersen for getting these in and putting up with me being a noob at character art.
I created the sloth model and texture, and Genevieve St-Michel added the daisy and scarf later. Rig by Waleed Boghosian. Animation by Caitlin Geels, Brandon Tabone, Matt Parker, and Steve Aguilar. Tech by Trevor Rothman. I also got a lot of great feedback from character artists like Kelvin Tan and Thomas Yip.
You might be thinking, "Ashleigh, why is a prop artist making a pet?" We actually do this cool thing on the WoW team a few days a year called Hackathon where we can make whatever we want! I chose to learn more about making a character and painting fur, and I have loved sloths forever, so Daisy was born. I hope she brings you as much joy as she does for me.
