In Patch 8.1.5, crafters unlock new Tools of the Trade questlines, rewarding special profession items! Today we are reviewing the Tailoring questline coming in Patch 8.1.5, which rewards

. This item lets you find extra cloth in the world, and resurrect in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. The Tailoring story also involves the Infinite Dragonflight, which leads to troubling implications.
Tailoring Questline
The questline starts by talking to
Tisse-temps Delormi
, an Bronze Dragon disguised as a Nightborne, who's struggling to stay in one timeline. You help her out in

You can see me? Oh, thank goodness! I thought I was lost in the folds of time...again! But for one to see through the folds of time's fabric... you must be a very talented tailor, indeed. Would you bring me some cloth, then, tailor? I believe I'll be able to place just when I am with your help and right myself.
She thanks you for bringing her some cloth:
Delormi: Oh yes, I believe I know when I should be now. Let me just reorient myself...
Once stabilized, she reveals in
Raccommodage temporel
that she has never been in our time before:
Hm...I don't know that I've ever been to this time, before. I suppose I should explain myself. My name is Delormi, and I'm the last remaining member of the Synchronous Tailors. We make sure the fabric of time stays, well, mended. But I've found a number of new tears cropping up. In fact, I believe that's why I've arrived here in this time. Perhaps you could assist me in tracking them down and repairing them?
You then assist Delormi in mending four Tears in Time with her special Synchronous Thread. She's pleased with your progress, but something unsettles her:
And that takes care of those, although...something's still wrong...
We then help Delormi investigate the disturbance in

I feel odd... weak. As though something is affecting my very existence. Would you come with me, <name>? I may need your help. At the very least, you could be a witness to whatever happens should something dire occur.
You both travel to the Caverns of Time, where things aren't looking good as the area is invaded by

, we help clear out the Caverns of Time from the attackers. Delormi also notes that the Caverns of Time has played an important role for her in many other timelines.
The Caverns of Time? Strange... I spent many timelines in this very place. What's special about here-- now? We'll have to discern as much later on. It looks like we aren't the only ones who've been affected by these rifts... Let's do the Bronze Dragonflight a favor and clear out these anomalies.
You also investigate corpses in

The first corpse you find is

.
That corpse. It looks like it's...me.
This doesn't make sense. I shouldn't be out of time...and I certainly shouldn't be dead.
Maybe there are more clues ahead.
The next corpse is
Delormi
, a Withered.
Another me. If her wounds are any indication, she was brought here unwillingly.
Aran'ethil, Delitha. Withering away... I would not wish such a fate on anyone.
The third corpse is
Chronomancienne Delormi
:
I've only seen this variant of me in the farthest reaches of time. Whoever's done this must be very powerful, indeed.
And to slay a chronomancer...I fear the strength they possess.
This is beginning to paint a frightening picture. Meet me at that time rift up ahead - perhaps that will lead us to when we need to be.
Delormi senses she is growing weaker, and worries that other versions of herself are also being attacked, including Enter the rift in

to learn more about this danger:
Another one of those rifts. Normally I'd repair it, but given the circumstances I wish to see where it leads. It isn't often I commune with versions of myself from other threads of time. But one particular self has been a dear friend for some time. I feel myself growing weaker. If she perishes... We don't have much time. We need to enter this rift now.
We then find ourselves in a Suramar timeline, where the
Ombre de Delormi
fights her friend,
Magistrice Delormi
. We fight the Shade, but it's not enough to save the Magistrix.
Shade of Delormi: All threads must be severed. Delitha must die.
Shade of Delormi: The fabric of time will be torn apart. Every seam will be split.
Magistrix: Delormi...the Infinite... she was too powerful...
Delormi: Hush, Grand Magistrix...it will all be over soon.
Magistrix: You must stop her... save our selves... save yourself...
Delormi: I'll stop her. For all of us. Rest well, Grand Magistrix.
Delormi, visibly upset, hunts down the Shade in

I...I need a moment, <name>. <Delormi seems disoriented and grabs your shoulder for support. She presses her hand against her forehead and stands there for a minute. Finally shaking off whatever she was feeling, she stands up straight and faces you.> There are gaps in my memories. Things important to me, lost now. We must stop her at all costs, <name>.
We find Delormi in an arcane prison in Fate's End, Stormsong Valley. This was a trap! She is being torn apart, and we must take her

to close the rifts.
You identify a corrupt rift and together you venture inside for

, teleporting to the Bronze Dragonshrine:
I saw her in there, destroying another part of my timeline. With every thread she severs, I lose myself more and more... Perhaps I will perish, but I won't let her ruin the fabric of time. I need you to join me one last time. I can only end this with your support.
You confront the Infinite Shade of Delormi again in

.
Now, <name>, stand with me. I am weak. So many threads have been severed. I'll use what power I have left to mend the rift. Please...make sure the fabric of time is safe from her.
Infinite Shade: I see you got out of my trap. We are quite resilient when the need arises.
Infinite Shade: No bother. I shall end you and your interfering companion now!
The shade then transforms into a member of the Infinite Dragonflight.
Delormi: Delormi, stop this! It is our purpose to preserve the fabric of time!
Infinite Shade: But it is our destiny to destroy it. Fabric is feeble - mending it is futile.
Infinite Shade: The shears of death so easily destroy that which is so flimsy. We must cut away our weakness.
Delormi: Our selves are not weakness...and you are not our destiny!
Infinite Shade: The fabric of time is saved for now... but you can mend it no longer, Weaver Delormi...
In

we learn that the Infinite Shade was right--Delormi can no longer mend time, due to too many of her timelines destroyed. When you look up into the sky, you see members of the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights fighting each other:
My Infinite self was right. I can no longer mend time. Too many of my threads have been purged. I can feel no others. I'm alone now. And my thread is gone. But not you. Take this recipe. You've proven yourself a talented tailor in your own time, and a savior in so many more. The fabric of time needs your hands to mend it. I trust you with that responsibility. Talk to me when you're ready. I'll take you back to when this all began.
Delormi disappears, leaving you with the
Fil synchrone
recipe and the responsibility to carry on her legacy and mend time.
<Back in your time, you look down at the recipe you were given and ponder on the responsibility you've been given.
Surely, this couldn't be any harder than the challenges you've faced up to this point...>
Implications of the Infinite Dragonflight
The Infinite Dragonflight, created from corrupted members of the Bronze Dragonflight, worked with the N'Zoth on the Hour of Twilight from Cataclysm. They were ultimately unsuccessful, with their leader Murozond defeated in End Time, a post-apocalyptic dungeon representing the state of Azeroth should the Hour of Twilight succeed. Remaining members of the Infinite Dragonflight then helped Garrosh Hellscream escape to AU Draenor in the novel
War Crimes
, setting up the Warlords of Draenor expansion. We've also seen the Infinite Dragonflight continually push to alter the threads of time in the Caverns of Time instances--for example, they try to prevent Medivh from opening the Dark Portal in

The Dungeon Journal describes how
Murozond
destroyed the timeways, similar to the Infinite Shade destroying Delormi's alternate threads:
Now living outside of time, Murozond was once the great Dragon Aspect Nozdormu the Timeless One. After the titans showed him his own death, the tormented Nozdormu was tricked by the Old Gods into trying to subvert his mortality. As a result, Nozdormu shattered the timeways and created the infinite dragonflight... jeopardizing the very future of Azeroth.
When we fight Murozond, he gives us some clues about his distaste for alternate timelines the Infinite Dragonflight does not approve of:
Murozond yells: The "End Time," I once called this place. I had not seen, by then; I did not know. You hope to... what? Stop me, here? Change the fate I worked so tirelessly to weave?
Murozond yells: To repeat the same action and expect different results is madness.
Murozond yells: You crawl unwitting, like a blind, writhing worm, towards endless madness and despair. I have witnessed the true End Time. This? This is a blessing you simply cannot comprehend.
The Infinite Dragonflight seeks power, and doesn't want differing timelines or their hard work undone. Taking out the one remaining Timeweaver, Delormi, ensures that the Infinite Dragonflight can damage more threads without interference. Also note that Delormi's attacker wasn't simply another member of the Infinite Dragonflight, but
herself
reimagined in an alternate time. This parallels Murozond, the leader of the Infinite, being Nozdormu's future self.
The questline ultimately ends with Delormi, the last Timeweaver, unable to mend timeways--which seems like a significant victory for the Infinite Dragonflight. With all the other Synchronous Tailors previously defeated, the battle between the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights must have been fought for a while, with all past outcomes favoring the Infinite Dragonflight.
Delormi finding dead versions of herself reminds us of the
Deaths of Chromie Scenario
, in which you save Chromie in multiple timeways. Could the Infinite Dragonflight be behind the Deaths of Chromie scenario too?
As Delormi is unfamiliar with Azeroth, perhaps she is unaware that the Timewalkers on Azeroth can also mend time, like
Tisserand Belmaril
.
The Weavers are arcanists who specialize in chronomancy; the art of weaving time.
Amongst the Timewalkers, we alone can repair damage to the timeways, open temporal portals, and other such tasks.
These things once came easily to the bronze dragonflight, but alas, no longer.
Could the Infinite Dragonflight eventually turn their attentions to the Timeweavers on Azeroth, now that they've taken care of the Synchronous Tailors?

on our end, but Patch 8.1.5 adds many Tailoring Recipes for hard-to-find or removed patterns. As all of these recipes have glowing gold icons, reminiscent of the Bronze Dragonflight and Hourglass, perhaps these have rare chances to appear in the
