Volatile Solvent & Ultimate Form - Perfecting Fleshcraft for Necrolords with the Plague Deviser Marileth Soulbind
Shadowlands

With last weeks Shadowland's Beta build, all covenants became available to test including soulbind and conduits. Because soulbinds and conduits are significant contributions to player power, it's important to understand how these systems and augments work to make the most informed decision when choosing a covenant. While most are generally understood from a fairly straightforward tooltip, for Necrolords the
Solvant volatil
and
Forme ultime
Soulbind abilities for
Marileth, catalyseur de peste
are a source of hidden power that can be confusing as to how these augments for
Chair recomposée
exactly work.

Soulbind Calculator
As shown in the Soulbind Calculator below,
Solvant volatil
is the initial soulbind ability that you'll receive from your first soulbind,
Marileth, catalyseur de peste
, when you pledge yourself to the Necrolords of Maldraxxus. The final soulbind ability you'll receive from
Marileth, catalyseur de peste
is
Forme ultime
further augmenting
Chair recomposée
. As a source of initial soulbind power and the ultimate soulbind ability, it's important to understand how these two soulbind abilities augment
Chair recomposée
and how to best take advantage of them to maximize
Chair recomposée
's potential.

To start,
Chair recomposée
as the Necrolord signature ability is relatively straightforward. Channel

The
Solvant volatil
soulbind ability will augment

further providing the player a 6 min buff based on the creature type of the corpse that you

Chair recomposée
absorb shield has depleted.

6 Minute Buff Separate from the

Each creature buff is unique which means you can only have a single
Solvant volatil : bête
buff. However, you can have multiple
Solvant volatil
buffs so long as they're from different creature types. For example, you can have these three buffs at once:
Solvant volatil : bête
,
Solvant volatil : humanoïde
, and
Solvant volatil : draconien
. See below for a full listing of the
Solvant volatil
buffs.
Unique
Solvant volatil
Buffs
Solvant volatil : bête
- 2% Primary Stat Increase
Solvant volatil : élémentaire
- 2% Magic Damage Done Increase
Solvant volatil : aberration
- 5% Armor Increase
- 50% Size Decrease
Solvant volatil : créature mécanique
- 5% Magic Damage Taken Reduction
Solvant volatil : mort-vivant
- Killing an enemy heals you for 5% of maximum health
Solvant volatil : humanoïde
- 2% Mastery Increase
- 5% Haste Increase
Solvant volatil : démon
- 5% Stamina Increase
Solvant volatil : draconien
- 2% Critical Strike Increase
Solvant volatil : géant
- 5% Physical Damage Increase and 10% Size Increase
- 25% Visibility Reduction
While most of the buffs are fairly small on their own, when you start stacking up a decent combination of them the benefits can be very fairly sizable. The only limit to the combinations is the variation of enemy creatures you're encountering. For raid this is likely to be a very small subset of creature types, but for dungeons it's not uncommon to see 3-4 different types or even more. When you consider a diverse dungeon like
L’Autre côté
, you'll encounter Beasts, Mechanicals, Undead, Humanoids, Elementals, Critters, Dragonkin and even Demons (if you're a Demon Hunter). Paying attention to these often overlooked creature types can be a very rewarding experience for Necrolords.

was speculated to be tied to the channeling of

to ensure that you could complete the full channel to maximize the absorb shield, the crowd control immunity is actually tied to the absorb shield itself. As long as the absorb shield persists so too will the crowd control immunity.
