At the end of the Scourge Campaign in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Arthas and Illidan engage in a fateful duel outside of Icecrown Citadel. Now in Warcraft III: Reforged, the cinematic has been remastered with a new look.

Scourge Campaign - Legacy of the Damned
The Scourge Campaign is the final campaign in The Frozen Throne:
Lordaeron
- Arthas seeks to wipe out the last vestiges of humanity from his homeland and to wrest control of the Scourge from the three remaining dreadlords. Before he's able to complete his mission, he's called back to Northrend be the Lich King with a grave warning about danger.
The Undercity
- With the retreat of Arthas, Sylvanas Windrunner, an undead banshee ranger regains her free will. By allying with the dread lord Varimathras, Sylvanas defeats the remaining dreadlords and establishes herself as the leader of the liberated Scourge of Lordaeron establishing the new Forsaken capital of The Undercity.
Azjol-Nerub
- Illidan's forces are trying to reach Icecrown and destroy the Lich King for good. Arthas must cut through the Nerubian cities of Azjol-Nerub to have any chance of reaching The Frozen Throne before Illidan.
Icecrown Glacier & The Frozen Throne
- Arthas must attempt to defend The Frozen Throne from Illidan.
Following Illidan's defeat, Arthas ascended the Frozen Throne, destroying it and merging with Ner'zhul to become the new Lich King. Illidan, badly wounded, retreated to Outland along with Prince Kael'thas and Lady Vashj, setting up the plot for the Burning Crusade expansion.
