WoW's 16th Anniversary Buff Only Gives +15% Quest Rep & Experience

The
16th Anniversary Event is now live
, granting a
+16% experience and reputation buff
for all players. Interestingly though, it's been discovered that quests only gain +15% reputation and experience, while the full +16% is given for mob kills. Tested in game, and verified by the spell data in our database, this is almost certainly not intended and just a small oversight, but it is somewhat interesting nonetheless.

Notice the difference in quest XP reward values with the buff off and on: 6,150 * 1.15 = 7,072.
The 16th Anniversary event was previously scheduled for November 16th through 30th, but with Shadowlands releasing on
WoW's 16th Anniversary
on November 24th, players were wondering if they'd carry the
16e anniversaire de WoW
buff into
Shadowlands
content. It seems that is not the case, however, as Blizzard has now moved the event prior to the expansion launch in order to avoid the overlap, as shown on the In-Game calendar.
