The Herbalist's Spade could possibly be super useful and even required in some situations, or other items similar to it which enhance profession skill levels. For example, in Grim Batol to skin some of the bosses, you need a skinning skill of 530, which would only be skinnable if you had an item with you which enhanced your level even if you had maxed your level to 525. I imagine this model will continue into Pandaria.
Farm time!
So the only things that don't fall under the heading of "Same Stuff; Bigger Numbers" at this point are that our speed potions turns us into a fish man and we have to carry around a shovel.

Except that someone picking flowers would not be using a spade or a shovel. Maybe if they were a botanist or a horticulturalist, but not a herbalist. A herbalist would probably find pruning shears/scissors more useful and effective for harvesting herbs and flowers & such.
What about something like Earthroot? I doubt you can get that with a pair of shears.
With the introduction of the 'spade' will there be certain things that are above the normal cap that you will need to retain the spade for? Such as there is when attempting to skin some fallen bosses?
That is true, however, Cata raised the Max health/iLevel/DPS/Armor by a long shot, and it was only five levels. So in MOP, which will also raise the level cap by by 5, will probably make those stats just as helpful as the cata potions were to cata people.
i can see alot of people making some sweet money at the start of mop when potions and flasks are always in demand
at least a new trinket XD hope we get epic one 2
If you are a sub-85 character who was hoping to get to train 525+ Alchemy:+ You can train Zen Master Alchemy at 80 + 525 skill+ You can get a few extra skillpoints from the Darkmoon monthly quest+ You can get a teleport to Pandaria by buying transit from a 90 mage who has learned the Vale of Blossoms portal- You cannot get out of the Vale of Blossoms because you need to quest to get in, and you won't have access to any other flight points= The only way out (to Jade Forest, to train) would be a warlock summonsOtherwise you could go back to Stormwind/Org/etc via a portal in the respective Shrine.
