Any chance we can hire the A-Team to expedite the new Toy Box ahead of Draenor? Would LOVE to see this in a "quality of life" patch.
I play a guardian/feral druid and would love it if we could use vanity items just like everyone else. At least one person in my raid is always in a silly costume, but as a bear/cat I can't use these items and tank/dps at the same time. Shifting into either of those forms automatically cancels the effect.Boomkins get to use their items regardless of shifting. And Blizz has even turn bear/cat into goblins in the Gob Squad Scenario so I don't see why the use of vanity items is prohibited to us.
It's a shame they didn't implement this sooner considering most of the toys I've gotten over the years had to be deleted due to lack of space.
Guess they forgot that Haunted Memento can't be thrown anymore. lolAlso heres one not sure anyone asked. Wonder what happens to those with both Dartol's Rod of Transformation and Stave of Fur and Claw? Then again they do have different names and CDs..And wonder what about the items some no longer have?
I can't wait. I've been expressing the 'toybox' idea for years now and I'm so glad they're actually doing something about it!
So. Much. Awesome.
I miss a hookshot-like weapon that only existed while you didn't deliver a quest for the Wildhammer clan, where you could ride black (or twilight?) dragons, kill them, (causing you to fall to ground) and you could skin them. At-level characters can't one-shot or kill them outright.
I just want Path of Illidan to become a Toy. Or at least, make a glyph for my Warlock.
So happy everything will be BoA for the most part. Can't wait to have my sky-mirror on all characters. which was a PITA to farm on just one
This is such a god-send for a weirdo collector like me. I am delighted.
You must know that this is not confusing. You are still red. I will still bleed you to death regardless of what you look like.
I guess while I'm here I'll make another note:
This is awesome and all but what I really want is a place to put all my tabards. With all the faction tabards and the ude points tabards 50 something spots in my bank are being consumed. Itd be nice to have something like the title tab where all my tabards are listed.
How about tabards, will they be treated like toys also? I have so many I want to keep and would use them more if I could just flip through them and equip.
This is a great idea! I remember a friend telling me about when pets took up bag space and then they handled in the same fashion as this. Good idea! What about my The Horseman's Horrific Hood ?Will I be able to laugh like the horseman without equipping the helm?
Cool! :D
It would be VERY nice if the list of quest items to be removed from bags included Darkmoon Faire/Gurubashi Arena Pitmaster trinkets. As it stands, you have to have 12 bag slots reserved for several weeks (or months in the case of DMF) in order to get enough loots to get the 12 you need for the final turn-in for the achievement and uber-trinket. Also in this category are the dinosaur bones from the Isle of Giants. Grinding ten stacks for the mount involves many hours of effort, often spanning several weeks or months. Bags spaces consumed by a slowly growing bone count are bag spaces no longer available for other purposes. My main has a full bank, full void storage and carries about 100 bag slots. After accounting for my armor sets, raid buffs, essential crafting items, fishing and farming gear, and the leftover vanity items that I cannot bear to part with, I walk around with about 24 open slots. Grinding for either bones or arena trinkets would eat up ALL my bag space for weeks. - which is why I have had to hold off on those grinds. Isn't it sad that I cannot play the parts of the game that I want to play because of such a minor, correctable glitch?A similar issue applies to the Krasarang PVP tokens. Dominance Offensive and Operation Shieldwall tokens are soulbound currencies yet they take up bag space? Why not convert them into a currency just like the Timeless Isle coins or Lesser Charms? Heck, why not treat the dinosaur bones the same way? And what about other BOP currencies, like the Halaa tokens, or ogre beads, or...<fill in item of choice here>...?
I really like the idea of the Toy Box. So much thought has gone into the clever transformations and silly to useful items that people at Blizzard have cooked up. I keep many of them just for their ability to make me and others laugh. I have just two wishes for the Toy Box. First, I hope that it will not have all the limitations of the marginally useful Void Storage. My second wish is that the Toy Box comes with a companion Tabard Closet where I can store all the tabards I've accumulated from reputations and other achievements. If I were ranking the Toy Box and Tabard Closet I would have to list them as follows:Tabard Closet: absolute necessity and long overdue.Toy Box: really, really good idea for the next tab added after the Tabard Closet.
I really can't wait for this feature!
