Gammelost vrykul âcregamal ost = old cheese in Swedish made me smile
I'm a little bit concerned that the presence of the Garrison pet menagerie vendors in Legion's Dalaran means they might be gone from the garrisons in Legion. Yes, yes, everyone (including me) is sick of garrisons but that doesn't mean I want to go back to levelling the new Legion pets the old fashioned way. I want to keep buying levelling stones with pet charms. Hoping it's just a case of them being in both places because technically the garrison is in the past compared to Legion's Dalaran.
So am I getting this right? Wyrmrest Temple then will be the new "capital" of Northrend?
I remember on Twitter they asked the community what kind of jokes they might add into the new Dalaran, and one example the Dev's liked was Algalon working in one of the shops after the events of Ulduar. Guess that didn't make it in? :(
Even thought they made some minor cosmetic changes to Dalaran I sincerly hope they will add Garrison chambers in top of some towers and mines in the sewers + a place to battle invasions (maybe at the violet hold) that involve killing flying demons with cannons Or an ability ring course involving jumping on roofs with choppers.Dalaran is old stuff made to look new but we won't be fooled about lack of content .
Great job with the video! Lots of added detail and fine tuning. Hopefully this new Dalaran will be an instanced zone and not share one with a much larger zone such as the old. I'm sure many of you remember Lagaran.
The only concern I'll have is the lag. In 2010 it was horrific! Hopefully that's addressed this time.
Strange, even though I wasn't on a bleeding edge PC in Wrath, the then-Dalaran wasn't a lagfest for me, but it was for many a friend. I hope the engine tech advanced enough for the problem not to return come Legion. I hope, because I heard people complain about both the Shrine and Warspear... Warspear also has the downside of being a bush central; you can't get around without bloody branches getting in your way unless you zoom in to nearly fpp-like view. The return (and multiplication) of portals means that Blizz developers have finally abandoned the nonsensical notion that convenience and speed of getting out into the world somehow shrinks it. What shrinks it, is in fact the total disconnect during slower-mode travel. I welcomed the 'get off' button on the flight paths, treating it as a ray of hope, only to be disappointed. When on an FP, you are still totally removed from the game world. It is pointless to keep an eye out for rares or pets - you are forced to watch a movie. Might as well go make coffee. I hope they eventually fix this. I absolutely adore the new (well, Cata, so not that new...) zeppelin from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar - it shows you how the default travel mode, also on FPs, SHOULD be in the game. Spotted something cool? Got a slowfall, glider or bubble? Jump down and engage! The FPs need to happen in the actual game world, and the button needs to be instant - dismount plus a parachute buff. And portals? Well, if I'm not exploring at leisure, why not let me zoom somewhere close to my destination via portal? They could even make a gold sink of it, and force you to talk and pay to the portal NPC before you go.
