I was telling him. I quoted you as it was a continuation of the conversation. Essentially my post was in support of yours which is why I quoted it.
...which is all really amusing, since the conversation started when MurkyKight said,
"This hows how OP mechs are, I hoep Blizz don't revive this archetype, never again."
My stance was that mechs aren't OP--which all three of us seem to agree with--but that 's effect was (and is, for Wild and Brawls). I gave a couple of examples of cards with similar effects which are still playable in Standard, but which aren't as powerful either because the effect is severely limited or because the body the effect is tied to is bad for its cost. Neither of you have addressed this side of the matter, so I don't know if you agree or not.
I think this is an important discussion, not from the stance of whether ought to be tweaked (hard to argue for this position, since it's not in Standard any more), but rather whether future cards that Blizzard introduces with similar effects should have similar effects and costs.

I guess I didn't really see the distinction. Mech decks imply Mech Warper so if we're saying Mech decks weren't OP then, by extension, neither was Mech Warper.
It was certainly OP in this Brawl but then this Brawl was all about finding OP combos and counter combos. I think Mech Warper was great for doing that (the counter was , of course).

That bit right there demonstrates my point. No other mech (except for , which was simply in every deck) could be said to be a fundamental, key component of every mech deck. Similarly, I can't think of any other neutral card which has (or has had) the same cross-class "deck defining" nature; the closest ones I can think of have been nerfed, like the , which was usually included in face decks.

I think that's an aim of Blizzard, though. From what the designer was saying on the latest Angry Chicken, they like it when cards can be something you want to build a deck around. It adds another deck archetype to the meta which adds to the variety. Reno was one. A lot of the Old Gods are a case in point. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing.
