That moment when you realize that the crab with the knife is from Brazil...hahahah
so blizzard once said one of the reason for making raids more accessible (for Wrath) was that they created a very beautiful and awesome zone that only 1% of people saw (Sunwell)... yet they seem ok to go back to it?I guess the main difference is that the gear required to get to mythic dungeons is relatively easy to aquire (relative being the operative word) so I guess time will tell whether this experiment worked
I have no idea what the Discworld Novels reference is, but Never Ending Toy Chest looks like the chest at the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where Professor Moody is imprisoned.
hope the they take back the 2 istances on mythic only.. at least put it on heroic to have the finder.
I have no issues with these dungeons being Mythic-only. If we already out-gear the Heroic version as Watcher says we will, what is even the point of doing it in Heroic? It would be no different than going into current WoD heroics in a full set of Tanaan gear at 660+ ilvl, where the dungeons won't offer any challenge or reward. As to those who don't like having to queue up manually, it's also a non-issue. You'll meet the requirements through quests/other heroics, and initially there won't be players who vastly overgear it because raids and Mythic+ won't be available for a while. Once those do come out, there will still be players doing regular Mythic dungeons and the overgeared players will likely be pushing Mythic+ as Mythic will no longer be relevant to them. There will be stacks of groups for these dungeons, especially as most/all classes will go in there for their quests. There's also the fact that if you don't like the high requirements set by some groups, you are more than capable of forming your own group with a lower ilvl requirement and still completing the dungeon. Unlike CMs, there is no time limit in them so as long as you're killing stuff you will still complete it. It should also be noted that Mythic dungeons are not designed to be like Heroics where you just rush in, kill stuff and get loot - they're meant to be challenging and it's not the end of the world if your group wipes a few times. In fact, wiping in dungeons can be a good thing as it encourages players to improve or follow mechanics. Remember how much fun the WoD Heroics were when we were only 610 ilvl doing them for the first time?
Can someone explain to me the progression path?In Warlords I did very few Mythic dungeons, because the raid gear was almost always better. Wouldn't people just skip these Mythics all together and just queue up for LFR? I'm trying to understand why anyone would even do them, versus going straight to LFR? In the last few expansions there has not been a need to run Normal Dungeons > Heroic Dungeons > Mythic Dungeons > LFR. I think I only ran a handful of Heroic dungeons before jumping right into LFR. The gear in Warlords from professions and garrison missions was good enough to get people into entry level raiding.I assume the same will be true of Legion. People won't need to do these Mythics to get into LFR and LFR can be your entry into other raiding. In my experience LFR is easier than running any Mythics
So you're making it harder for classes that have campaign quests in those particular dungeons to complete their campaign. Please tell me you ALSO removed those quests.
Dunno how I feel about Mythic only dungeons (I'm trying to avoid Beta news for the most part - I kind of hate that because there is stuff I will never see once it gets cut, but it's also disappointing to hype about stuff that never comes to fruition once it gets cut.... I feel like I'm missing out on shaping the game just because I want to keep it exciting once it's live, but at the same time I know my lowly voice wouldn't shape it much... I dunno, I'm conflicted - as if that wasn't obvious from this wall of aside :p) Anyways, came here to say that the knife/crab may also be a reference to the ooooolllllddddd flash video CRAB BATTLE! (very mild language) - I don't know if there are any MGS nods to make that complete (not watching videos due to said above avoidance - although if I get beta that will revert, but still).
I am looking forward to Mythic only dungeons. For those upset about this change, think of how fast you cleared Warlords content. Do you really want to complete the game in a month after reaching maximum level? The game is more rewarding when a goal is finally reached. If everything is handed to you the reward is minuscule and you want more which leads to quicker patches with poor quality content.
