I'd support it as an option, but not as mandatory. Hunter, for me, was always about hunting with a pet. One pet. One of several things that put me off playing BM was that I was now seemingly travelling with an entire zoo. There was my pet, Hati, and part of my basic rotation summoned yet a third pet. It was not for me, so I went MM, where at least I got a cool bow and an actual quiver. So yeah, I'd support it as something other people could have, just so long as no one makes me have it too.
Three of the four essence swapper images are misleading. The fleshling, merloc, and metamorphosis models weren't intended (but could be acquired if their pet was polymorphed into those models), and hunters haven't been able to snag them for a long time.
If Hati's AI had been better tuned, how many BM Hunters would still be so eager to get rid of him? I'll settle for "not as many".Could pets be tweaked to show that their attention is on the target the Hunter has chosen (choose target, pet adopts a "Ooh, gimme, gimme...!" stance), similar to how mobs do, when you stealth past them...? That would help...The whole idea of a BM Hunter is their affinity to their pets, so getting rid of one is never 'easy' & was part of what lead to 10 stable slots becoming 50.Now... we know AI CAN be improved, because it's the core of the 'Islands' feature in BfA, so if it meant that, for now all we get is a memorial to Hati's services, during Legion, that would be enough (for me), if it meant AI Improvements were made to allow multiple pets to 'work better', later - extra bonus. Retuning his spirit to Thorim, seems equally 'fitting'...It could equally be debated that Demonology Warlocks already have the roots of a 'multiple pet' system, with the ability to have - albeit temporarily - multiple Imps, so extending that to Hunters wouldn't be too far fetched.Beast Masters that want to retain any/all of the functionality of a second pet shouldn't really be derided, esp. if any part of that was down to sub-optimal implementation on Blizzard's part.I'm not so passionate that I'd sign a petition, but I like the idea that as "a Master of Beasts", BM gets to have at least the option to have a multiple pet set-up.ETA - was Hati a he or she...? I'm a stickler for details, so...
My primary Hunter was not a character I played, a lot... so it comes as a surprised that Hati had variants based on Artifact skins... is there anywhere that details these, please? I only have the Hidden base skin (Night Elf & gun don't 'work' for me), so I didn't notice any change.
I know this is probably a little silly... but do you think we could proofread our posts before we post them?
no thanks, i hope in BfA we have only one pet again.
Weird, most hunters I know can't wait to get rid of him... well, to each their own I guess?
I dont like the Hunter class, and never will. But this cause is worthy of Blizzard's attention! #Hunters4HatiEdit: A talent where Hati has an X% chance to come to your aid as you auto attack, or use abilities would work as well.
There's a reason my hunter alt is Marks (and for that matter is an alt rather than my main); I freaking despise Hati.I'd love to be able to get back to just my dwarf, his bear and his gun (at least for solo stuff). That said, I'd be okay with it being an option for those that want it, as long as it is an option and not a best-available talent or ability.
i wish people had reacted like this when they forced new models on old pets.
Seriously. The poor grammar in this article is jarring and even impedes comprehension. Did no one with a good command of English look at this before it was posted? Embarrassing.
I didn't play my hunter that much so I don't feel that attached to Hati but I absolutely would like him to have a happy ending, like releasing his spirit from the weapon so he could do wathever he wants, like returning to his home.
Just make him a 110 mob that pats around Ulduar or Stormheim or both.

<3 my Hati.
I don't mind Hati going as long as BM hunters get a replacement 2nd pet, or just have the ability to have 2 normal pets out. As soon as I learned BM hunters could have a 2nd pet at Legion's launch, I made a beeline to level them next. It's such a cool thing that really made BM hunters stand out a little more when compared to MM.
