Will all the available races currently in retail also be in classic? How about classes?
no and no this is a faithful representation of classic.
I wouldn't mind pure classic realms and maybe non-classic-classic realms with some modern stuff..\rEven if it was just cosmetic? Either way i'm happy classic is coming.
You wouldn't be able to do the races that aren't from Classic, because their starting zones (for Sin'dorei, Draenei, Goblins, Worgen, and Pandaren) or their starting points (Highmountain, Shal'dorei, Lightforged, Ren'dorei, Mag'har, Zandalari, & Kul Tirans) Don't Exist. Dark Irons are a special case because their place Does exist, but in Classic, they are Opposed to Everyone.
Don't for with Classic, Paladin is ALLIANCE only and Shaman is HORDE only toons.
Don't for with Classic, Paladin is ALLIANCE only and Shaman is HORDE only toons.\r\rThank goodness for that.\r\r(I accept Blood Knights, they were nicely integrated into the lore. But taking the lazy way out and allowing Blood Elf Paladins...)\r\rI predict that eventually we'll be able to move our Classic toon over to retail. It will be paid of course, Blizzard have to get their cut, but it will be great to see unobtainable original outfits in retail. Plus a way to have your Classic end-game toon live on in retail, even though it will probably remain at level 60 and be a bank alt. But a bank alt with great street cred!\r\r(Yup I am aware that character models are different in retail. But that is no impediment to porting a toon into retail)\r\rThe other prediction is TBC servers, again with paid character porting from Classic.\r\rIt was not so long ago that there was a thriving level 70 twinking community. Blizzard surely remember that.

I don't get the hype. Vanilla was great and all for its time, but that was 14 years ago and games are way different now. If they really make it exactly like it was people will get burnt out before they even reach max level. Also one of the big things about vanilla is that it was before server transfer and cross realm anything. you were only playing with the people on your server. That forced your to form relationships and not be a toxic nerd. you couldn't just transfer and ruin someone else's guild. So is all of classic just going to be 1 realm with no phasing? \r\rI think a lot of people who think they want this will realize they don't sooner rather then later.
they hype is very real, you dont get it until you play it. its not about the 14 years ago, now, or none time related.\rClassic is just that, is timeless, is very social, addicting and very fun game to play, especially the pvp

Most people don't want modern WoW either - I mean does anyone really want a scaled mmorpg with no gear or character progression? My entire gaming library is old and I'm still cracking old cartridges out. Vanilla is remembered because it was a complete game that felt good from 1 until 60. It is a solid RPG.
