What do you think will be shared for future episodes?Some farms that allow you to combine mining and herbing as in Cataclysm zones where both the herbs, ore and volatiles holds great value. Giving you a much greater flow of income than just mining for a singular item like Arcane crystals. Particularly Uldum or Tol Barad.Other things is daily CD:s like Jard's peculiar energy source, garrison building like Barn or Tailoring Emporium or World quests like Felhide.
I was still missing the mount, hearthstone toy, two pets and some bunny ear transmogs. After collecting about 900 eggs flying around Brill I had all the items and I was pretty lucky to get two mount drops which meant I could learn one and keep the other one to sell at some point!
my problems with proffesions are pvp locked ranks of recipes. i dont like pvp im bad at it and i dont find it fun yet for ranks i have to do it. in legion and bfa wow dev team: lvl up this proffesion and even if you want to try another proffesion you can re-learn this 1. thats cool but how many people using this? they should make rank ups + current bop recipes bound to blizzard acount. i mean its fine that you have saved progress for character but i want overall progress.this is mostly to older expansion but i dont know why they made that decision: i got some really cool recipe for boe piece of gear. it requires engineering. ok sending to my engi. he is not a paladin. cant learn that recipe.(my pally has jc/mining) my engineers are dh + mage bcs of split in gnomish /goblin. blizzard should remove class requirement from proffesions. and all crafted bop should be added to transmog.
I understand the need to pull gold out of the economy to combat rampant inflation, but they really should not have made many of the previous potions and consumables moot. I don't have an alchemist, but how long before it affects the professions I do have? Best to complain often and early when we see these injustices.
Feeling very distressed about the increase of cost for rep mounts. We've already worked hard to get exalted, it's a slap in the face to continue to see mounts at such an expensive price.
So glad someone else said that the casual gold making is at a dead crawl because I have been feeling that a lot lately
I farm eggs for mounts for to sell on next months, when the prices are better to sell. I already did something like that on Christmas and early Noble Garden, and I can get a reasonable gold with that.
I probably do not have enough gold to buy all the mounts in 8.2. Even if I did, I wouldn't buy them all for I'd go broke! As for Noblegarden eggs, I only farm them if Blizzard puts out new toys, pets, etc. to collect for myself. One year for Love is in the Air I farmed charms to buy a pet a guild member did not have, but I really can't be bothered doing that anymore for any holiday. I don't have the time nor patience for it, let alone make a profit off of it lol
I did actually farm eggs this year while usually, I don't. I set up a macro for it and basically went mentally afk and just stood still collecting the eggs while watching series. I consider this to be pretty low investment timewise and all the possible profits are just a welcome extra to my usual routines.As for the other topics discussed here, I'm kind of bummed to learn about these things. I guess the positive thing is that it seems that Blizzard has at least realized that professions need to be revamped to make them interesting again, I just wish this wasn't the way to do it. Making some of the main recipes from current expansion suddenly feel worthless does not feel rewarding.In theory, I could purchase the vendor mounts, but even as someone who is into collecting mounts they just don't seem to be worth it. I really hope the prices are not final. I'm always into getting new cool mounts and willing to pay for them too but only if they show some originality and actually make me want to use them.
The mount collection mechanic still needs some enhancement. Maybe instead of reskin and sold as a completely new mount, they need to introduce "core" models and "variants". You obtain core models at a steep price, then get the variants cheaper. This way they can also introduce rare variants via steep price or some hidden quests or whatnot.Just like the recent overhaul to the water walking mechanic. Do something similar but this time to "skins".
I know the economy is deflated, but really, I've had no problem making gold, especially on my main. But then my Alliance Hunter is on a low pop, Horde heavy server, with a 20% BfA bonus with WM On, so just the faction rewards make for steady income and give me time to solo old raids or work on other content.
I agree that’s mount and pet pricing has gotten way out of hand. Being a casual gold maker, I largely rely on sending my alts through islands for a chance at 5000g maps or valuable mog items like plundered weapons and tackling emissaries that offer me 2,000g which while we still lack flying can still be tedious and I put that towards WoW tokens to keep my account active. And as tokens continue to slowly rise in price while crafting mats and craftables drop I just can’t justify spending hundreds of thousands on mounts and pets that being honest with myself would be amusing for a few days then largely forgotten and mounts and pets earned from collection achievements aren’t enough either to justify the cost.
Mount costs have seriously gone crazy in BfA. Personally I think it's always about real money, that they want people to buy wow tokens to get the gold.I'd love to farm gold actively but it's really tough now. At the start of BfA I farmed BoEs and mounts in nazmir, vol'dun, drustvar and stormsong. Never a single mount drop, only a BoE here and there.

I have three new adorable ear sets and yet another hearthstone to purchase, not to mention I have to deck out all my lovely ladies in pretty pink frocks. As for holiday items, I keep a guild bank full of various holiday pet drops (winter's helpers, grumpling, toxic wasteling, etc.) for re-selling, and I try to buy as many holiday mounts as I can. During WoD when the Grumpus mount was released, I did sets of dailies on so many characters that I had a spreadsheet to keep track, that mount was super lucrative (and the experience potions/legion rep medallions were a nice bonus to sell).
How do you feel about starting over with professions in 8.2? Would you prefer to keep what you have now and get different recipes/mechanics to empower your crafted products? About the amount of gold in the economy and the fact that the developers want to remove a good percentage of it from the game economy, i understand and agree that something had to be done about it.What annoys me, is the fact that they decided to cut off the "auto generated gold", from the WoD garrisons, to make you play the game to get the and at the same time, nerf the amount you can get to the ground.Getting 300 000 gold each month, playing 20 mins per day is not good for the game economy in the long run, because of hyper inflaction.On the other hand, i dont see a problem in making the same 300 000 gold per month, playing 3 to 5 hours per day and having gold making present as you play, like many of the decisions you take in game take into consideration the gold value of it.These days, if you are not a "pro gold maker" with TSM, playing the AH hardcore, you play those 3 to 5 hours and barelly make half the amount and that for me its a overkill.My solution would be simple:- Double the amount of gold from the table missons;- Double the amount of gold from the emissary caches when you get 10k rep past exalted - (4k to 8k);- Double the amount of gold from the random faction reward cache - (2k to 4k)You would still have to activly play the game, invest those hours and get a decent amount of gold in the long run.As it is today, it feels very punishing.Feels like the IMF took over the WoW economy. :)
IMO Blizzard's aim seems to be to get more players to start paying real money for subs as it gets more difficult to many players to earn enough for tokens. It seems counter intuitive to do so with a declining player base.
The one thing about economy I feel now is frustrating how fast things become cheaper. First I decided to sell herbs (like everyone else, yes) and prices were that good so I could make a token worth gold in a couple of weeks without any guides or real efforts (1 hour per day in the morning). And I found it as a good balance.
