It still bothers me that they completely left the NEs out but managed to include the NB in the Azshara story. It really makes the whole thing feel less meaningful.
¡Hey look on the thirth photo, it's Tyrande! Oh, no, it's just Jaina again.
You guys know that Tyrande is from Suramar right? Why is the presence of the Nightborne so strange? If anything Farondis should be there.
I'm starting to think that Tyrande might be too lost in her vengence to notice. Say what you will about Darkshore, but it does have the efect of keeping Tyrande and the night elves busy. Perhaps busy enough to prevent them from seeing what the rest of the Alliance is doing? Long enough to keep them from mucking up their strategies again?Long enough, so that when Tyrande does look up, that she might be SUPER mad that she was left out?just a thought.
I mean, Shandris is there- so they are not 'leaving out the night elves' entirely, are they?
Reading the intro questline I believe Tyrande isn't there because in the first place they were only after a bunch of Horde vessels. So only a handful of people are present. The portal creation is mostly "player convenience " instead of actual lore so no new reinforcements including Tyrande
Makes sense Tyrande fighting against Azshara, but, nowadays, she asked vengeance against the Horde, not against Azshara....Man, where is Anduin? Jaina is acting like an Alliance's leader much more than the boy. Oh monarchy lol
I really can't be that mad at Tyrande not being there when Shandris is, so Nigth Elves to get a presence, and Shandris gets more screentime.Because it makes sense for Tyrande to actually focus on the future of her people rather than rehashing a 10.000 year old grudge.I'm okay with Tyrande moving forward rather than going backwards, and I'm okay with Shandris getting some spotlight.
The whole Tyrande / Azshara grudge narrative doesn't actually make any sense. The War of the Ancients trilogy didn't depict any sort of vendetta between the two, and I don't even recall them even meeting at any point in those books. There is no part of the lore that I'm aware of that pits Tyrande against Azshara in any sense beyond the general Night Elves vs Azshara, which would include both Blood Elves and Nightborne in particular. On the other hand Shandris is a key Night Elf character that is long overdue for some love. She's Tyrande's adopted daughter and her entire family was murdered by Azshara's actions. She has every bit as much right to a show-down with Azshara as any other Night Elf.
Not to mention those pillars with chains reminds me of Arbiter's Grounds from Twilight Princess
