Bringing back spells is a nice touch, but won't solve the longterm issues of class identity or fun. If they really want to improve things, they need to look at ways to offer varying forms of spec complexity. Offer meaningful choices and ways to pursue a unique way of gameplay outside of picking a spec and calling it a day.One way would be to look at Diablo 3 and how each talent has runes that augment the base talent choice in flavorful ways that aren't exactly game breaking enough to prune. Then bring back tier sets and keep them functioning and competitive with eachother all expansion long instead of making us use the newest set just because of item level. Finally, keep the azerite system in place, but allow us to manually select and socket traits like gems into the gear and have the template change when we change specs to avoid bag bloat. This way we can have at truely custom set that reflects the way we want to play.
They are trying to make this game more main stream and in the end it will just put off the hardcore base. This game now needs the subscriptions and micro transactions to meet the financial expectations, I would only expect things become more pushed to micro transactions and more ridiculous grinds for mounts or rep to push people to continue playing for the incentive and monthly subs, BOA has been poorly designed, between the mix of i want to be PVP and i want to be PVE this expansion couldn't choose. PVP and PVE are separate for a reason, you either want to PVP or you want to raid and PVE. No problem for me there. But this expansion tried to sandwich them together and it just does not work. We had PVP realms and the such for that specific reason. I love the game and just want it to be like it was prior to BOA, if you disagree fine with me.
just please make something with defensive stance animation i know arms warior will be trash i don't care i love the class just make warrior xmog that alliance shield of defensive stance i repeat 1000x itme like people on forums warriro arms stay 70% time in def stance - and for people who are xmog apparence adicted its ruin evrything and in general the class look like a clown..with and red black xmog and def stance blue yellow come on..atleast give us this enemy can easly see the def stance easly by mini shield around the warrior charcter..just do it it was a glyph in legion beta..you will only recive amazing feedback from community if you do this..just do it!
I think the hype for Classic its now making them do a complete 180 in terms of game design. first the level squish and now they talk about de-pruning the classes. Very soon they'll remove lfg and well will all be back in SW/Orgri spamming for dungeons like its 2006. Joke of a company really.
To admit that they went too far with pruning (with pruning I don't just mean the loss of pressing skills but also passive skills that gave depth and complexity to the contours of the main skills) is already something. Now I think that we will hardly see the classes change during bfa because it is the whole system that fits poorly (class + spec + talent + azerite) and to fix the whole is not an easy and fast job for this I point everything on a possible 9.0 (I'm pretty sure the blizz is already working on it).For me WoW will not resist if the next expansion will be on the same line as BfA and I hope that Ion first of all realized this.By now I have heard the phrase too many times: "we have learned from our mistakes". I think the time for mistakes is over.WoW really needs to turn the page and rediscover itself by looking at the good things of the past but at the same time it must look to the future trying to evolve without forgetting its identity and what made this game great.
I really hope they include more skills, i mean, my destro lock feels so crippled, it has been the same class since mop but with less buttons (spam awful fillers, so you can be able to slowly cast the only spell who hits really hard), and they removed so much and unique utility spells like shadowflame, fel flame, searing pain, shadowburn it still there but it's an awful talent that no one picks ever, drawback) and IMO the most awful change: they just put in most of those expansions demonic circle, death coil and shadowfury (it's baseline now but with an awful cast, it used to be instant) in the same row of talents. It just feels horrible to play, yeah, we can pull big numbers, but the class identity is almost non existant.
Eyes of the Beast! Eyes of the Beast! EYES OF THE BEAST!
With all that talk about class identity I really hope they bring back quivers for hunters (not the ammo part) I know its something silly but has huge immersion factor
Live is the beta, always has been for wow...
Removal of stances (instead of modifying them) was really jarring and illogical to me.When I started, the dual-spec didn't exist, it was added before I reached cap though. Still, it was cumbersome, required to be OOC to swap, and as time went, it also involved a separate gearing path.Meanwhile, all I needed was the ability to "trade" some of my survivability as a leveling warrior tank, for the extra oomph as a dps... and stance was absolutely ideal for that: change stance, and be unable to use active mitigation, even loose some passive/armor, but do significantly more damage. That would have solved all my problems leveling in prot, and across all the expac nothing changed - well, the current flavor is that you will take a year to kill a mob in prot, but if that XP makes you ding 120, you won't get instagibbed by it due to retarded scaling.Sure, stances pose a "problem" because masterfully used, an off-tank can significantly add to the raid's damage, but I really don't see that as a problem. There is a ton of guilds out there who see their ranks decimated now, because skill requirements were cranked retardedly high at the moment. If Blizz wants some of those subscribers to come back, they will have to make some compromises, and soon.
I hope they bring back the class trainer quest and all these good immersion stuff. There is no difference when you level up two different class except for the spells, you don't feel the difference. Yes, leveling is an important part.
