interesting, so we might see them again someday
Its silly that we would kill them. Considering that when Aman'Thul ripped Y'sharaaj out of the world, it left such a scar in the world in regards of the maelstrom/well of eternity, the sha etc. So why could some mere mortals kill Old Gods whereas the titans had such difficulty with it? I am excited for the expansion, but I do not like how a good chunk of the story so far, contradicts already existing lore.
Death is not the end!
"I'm just saying death isn't the end of the line in World of Warcraft, and it really never has been."Cool, can't wait till we face Nefarian/Onyxia/Archimonde/KJ/Kael'thas again at some point too.
Personally I wanna see the light and dark section of shadowlands. Old god Pantheon fight? Oohh!

This is dumb. We have never fought an old god... we have mearly fought the pimples of them. Guess they just wanna move away from the one thing most wow players are excited about.
It’s good that there’s the chance they could always come back. Found it a bit ridiculous when people suggested they’re gone for good because we killed tiny manifestations of them. Many are probably tired of the old god theme by now (especially after 8.3 comes out) but I’ll always welcome an entire Black Empire expansion where all the Old Gods come back and are active at once.
As seen in Shadowlands, Wild Gods don't actually die. When their physical form is killed, their spirit lies in Ardenweald until it's time for their rebirth.Goldrinn has been killed and returned in Cataclysm. Cenarius has also been killed and returned.Demons too don't die, their soul is everlasting. When they are killed, they go back to the Twisting Nether, where they can reform. If Old Gods are physical manifestations of the Void realm trying to grasp the realm of the living, one can say that the same principle of Demons/Wild Gods applies to them and if the veil that separates our world is ever shattered, all Old Gods would return.
So, they're dead; but they're not DEAD dead (points if you get that referance)
i can see them setting up new characters to face once we defeat the old gods. i mean we sould still need to defeat the void lords. and whatever new threat from another planet or realm comes out way.
Wait, so regardless of origin or what type of creature you are there's a cycle from the physical plane to your spiritual origins and then back again? So this means:1. Demons -> Twisting Nether2. Old Gods -> The Void3. Physical Plane -> Shadow LandsRight, so if we go and "kill" the Jailor for example, will he then manifest in the pohysical plane, that being his corresponding "afterlife"? :D
More old gods!

I was kiiinda hoping old gods were at least like, proper dead dead, just because as far as big bads, the old gods got stagnant a long long time ago
Time to get ready to rekill everything in another realm xD

Would be cool to see C'thun and Yogg'Saron in some form again in the future. Especially C'thun.
A Light/Void, Naaru/Void Lord expansion would be really interesting imo.
