Part of me loves when a holiday comes around and hasn't been updated. I get the joy of NOT participating. At the same time... I feel like Bliz should always be expanding the holidays with a few new things. Pets, toys, cosmetics, whatever. Nothing huge, just a small little reward to encourage players to redo the holiday to some extent.
is still not updated and only grants 14 Haste.
Remember Darkmoon Buff on Sunday! All buffs active, much more rep :)
I kinda figured we wouldn't get an update for Pilgrim's Bounty.... I wish we had at least gotten a Hearthstone or Tabard,I love taking part in holiday events. It gets me in the spirit of the actual holidays. But it gets annoying when they don't change anything and it is the same things over and over and over again. I don't even remember when the last time Pilgrim's Bounty was updates.
The xp/rep buff dissapeares when you die and join bgs/dungeons.
Should have been a Hearthstone toy that summons a flock of turkeys as you cast it
Woot, Rep buff!
Imagine the people experiencing these holidays for the first time, only to tell you (a 5+ year veteran) and listen to you be a buzzkill because there’s nothing new. Then wonder why you play WoW alone most of the time.
It's an excellent way to rapidly level old world cooking schools up to 300 if you're into that sort of thing.
Important to note that this holiday does not exist in Classic WoW, I believe it was first added in Wrath of the Lich King?
On Sunday, because the Darkmoon Faire comes up, you can get 15e anniversaire de WoW, L'Esprit du partage, and WOUHOU !, for a 35% reputation gain from all sources. Definitely the day to do any non-world quest rep grinds (e.g. Résistance de Mécarouille, racial cities for Heritage Armor, old dungeon/raid reputations).
I have barely touched holidays lately even if they have something new I haven't earned yet. I just can't get the motivation to do the same stuff. I wish they would make more holiday events as "catch up" mechanics some how. Pilgrim's Bounty was great when you could use it to power level cooking.Would be cool if each event had some form of power leveling stuff. That and I wish more events would be more like scenarios and island expeditions. Just something fun to do that is more self contained. I abhor doing the dungeon bosses now because they are just so dated.
They really could stand to update this one. Its basically been the same since it first started
This Turkey whirlwind hearthstone idea sounds pretty good. This holiday has no real currency so didn't expect anything new. Tbh I would like new items in holidays if it was fun to get and not a grind (flying around opening pumpkins or elders is not fun). They need to add some kind of "random hearth" button so I can get a random stone each time.
There is a new follower mission for the holiday which awards a Les Bienfaits du pèlerin (which is not a new item). That should contain a Dindoflingue (needed for an achieve) and some of the holiday food. It also has a chance to contain the Chapeau de pèlerin raffiné transmog, Poulet des fourrés effrayé pet, or Dindoflingue plaqué argent toy.
Blizzard really treats us like family when it comes to holidays. They are quite good at letting us down.
