"...and the hints towards past and current World of Warcraft lore....""Now what if some E.V.I.L. villain found a way to resurrect the Father of Dragons? Galakrond would become the ever-living threat that he once was....""...Team 5 already has a strong history with unveiling future Paladin racial possibilities, as we have seen with the first Zandalari Trolls in Rastakhan’s Rumble last year."Seems like more than enough nods to L.I.V.E. WoW, and the point about Zandalari Troll Paladins is valid.
Well we already have an Undead paladin in the form of Sir Zeliek from Naxx so it's nothing new, also Alonsus Faol is someone who still has a good connection with the Light and is still a priest even in undeath.Lightforged undead on the other hand really shouldn't exist and the less them and Calia appear in the game the better.I wouldn't really say that Heartstone predicted Zandalari paladins, main reasons why people really wanted Zandalari paladins was because we actually saw them multiple times in WoW before BfA.We saw them in the original invasion of Zul'Gurub, we saw them in MoP in Throne of Thunder so people were baffled that paladin wasn't an original class option for Zandalari trolls when they were unveiled.I really wouldn't like if Antonidas came back for some reason, doesn't anything in WoW actually stay dead, his story is done and bringing him back only gives a chance to ruin a liked character just for fan reaction that was gotten with him returning.I'd rather they actually create new characters (especially for Horde) than just bring back old ones in hopes of players returning.
As a warcraft lore lover, I like this post. Btw i'm not very familiar with the HS lore. Is it something that must be taken into consideration when speaking about Warcraft lore canon or are they two different "universes" ?
It makes sense that the undead would be able to become paladins, since they've been able to be priests and wield holy energy since the Forsaken regained their free will. And that seems to be the key to it: holy energy is very powerful against the mindless undead, but it seems to have no (or very little) power against the Forsaken, because they have their own independent motivations.
