looks good ww in shadowlands
As lackluster as they are for raiding, ww has been competing for best arena melee for 2 expansions in a row.
Nice to see that babylonius got his WW article in wowhead. Lets hope someone at blizz takes a look at it!
dont slap use with the bad karma thing. just use it defensively when its needed. when you see there is no danger a head use it offensively. or u r sloppy and make mistakes use it def only. i agree that none of abilities seems to be satisfying. just really bad covenant ability design for monks. disappointing. :(
I don't have the beta access, but I now sure if Combat Condition is available to monk according to the Monk's SL changes page. Is it really true or not?UPDAccording to these changes, I'm sure that WW monk will not see any play in raiding environments unless he will have overtuned numbers. As for monk generally, Brewmaster still will be good or even great. Mistweaver still can be swapped by any other healer, as they don't bring any unique utility for a raid. So if Brewmaster will be bad, there is an opportunity for WW to have his raid place. I want to main monk to play all roles, so I feel excited for Shadowlands.
A few points here that I would like to point out that, to my understanding don't make much sense.1. Expel harm being 'borderline useful and useless' i think doesn't make sense because it either fits into the rotation or doesn't there is no inbetween; if it benefits the rotation (even slightly) then it belongs. That being said if it currently works the same way as it does in BFA then it is definitely good as it is a cheaper Chi generator (and more damage) than Tiger Palm that also lets you maintain combo strikes easier as well as letting you generate Chi out of combat.2. Using Fortifying brew + Karma cannot be too much of a DPS increase because you also take 20% less damage for that time so if you can't take the 20% extra hp in time then it isn't a DPS increase therefore should be used independently. I feel confident in the changes being made (I main MW and off spec WW often) as I feel like they are making the spec feel abit fresh compared to BFA, I was dreading losing Expel harm after BFA and im glad were getting it baseline.
Class design seem weak going into SL. Have any of these been positive? And they are hardly negative for the sake of it, there are some real concerns.
Great article let's hope we will see some nice changes
Yeah it all depends on the numbers when its released for how effective new abilities are but my main concern is that just because something looks like it might be better to do in a certain way, then it has to be like that. So expel harm I feel will probably still deal decent damage when SL releases (whether it does more than TP is to be seen), but I can definitely say that you will not need to use FB with Karma in every situation. If you can guarantee the absorb amount then you should use it, but you definitely shouldn't use it at the same time every time because I can definitely imagine situations where you will lose damage from karma by doing this as you might not even get to the original 50% hp damage therefore wasting FB.
If you want to get an experience for how Windwalker plays on Beta without having Beta access, just unequip your Azerite and don't use ToD, its essentially the sameHaha, great.Watch the hands:Spec isnt powerful enough=>low representation=>blizz dont give a #$%^ about spec, because it wont affect many peoplePerfect WW loop
Removed
i hope ww gets some love but lets be real blizzard doesnt give a %^&* about those specs WW, Feral, MW, Survival because not enough peopel play them.
