Nice, I hope they get class tuning done well, I know a few classes are struggling while others (affliction warlocks for example) are completely busted.
remove pvp scaling
Remove pvp scaling. Nerf warlocks tankiness. They have their teleport now. No need to be a pillar in the middle of the map.
this should provide further feedback on the true horror of locking the covenant specific CLASS spells behind time gates.i envision some very unfortunate yet highly imbalanced spec/covenant combos.i doubt it's going to be worse then corruptions... but it probably wont be far off.#PullTheRipcord
PLEASE nerf warlock's tankiness. They have more tankiness than melee plate wearers, its just ridiculous. And remove pvp scaling, its something blizzard obviously doesnt know how to address (evident in the gem socket bug that wasnt fixed until a few weeks ago). Just remove it and disable pve trinkets and any other pve obtained bonuses in pvp. Also I really hope pvp related stuff are not locked behind pve content, and similarly pve related stuff behind pvp content (looking at Conflict & Strife essence, that was a real pain to get on my main let alone alts prior to echoes).
Soooo... I just got 2 shotted by a SP?
What ilvl is Blizz considering "end-game" for this testing?
With the release little over a month away? I have a bad feeling about this.
Can anyone tell me what was wrong with WoD's approach to PVP and PVP gear? I don't understand why it was scrapped.
Remove pvp scaling!
buckle up buckaroo
Kinda confused on these two posts that reference "warlock tankiness."In a world where half the classes have full damage immunities on CD, we have a 40% damage reduction for wall.A good portion of the ones that don't (and a few that do) have insane self-healing. We have...healthstone? I mean, I guess I can remember back when healthstone was pretty useful. Are you referring to those or something else?
Yeah, of course. That's why I'm so confused. I mean, I don't arena - just BGs - so there's that. From my experience, though, a 40% damage reduction is far less impactful than a "I'm immune to everything, now, so I'm just gonna run at you and smack buttons until you die" kinda thing. I'm hoping there's legit reasoning behind the statements which is, basically, what I'm asking for. Our wall is meh. Our healing is meh. Our mobility is less than meh on live (much better on the PTR, though. Supposedly, much better on beta as well). I mean, we didn't really mention Demon Armor, before. There's that. How much physical damage is actually done, these days, though? You could talent into coil for a heal - but you probably need to save that to use for offense, anyway so, yeah. Still pretty confused. We have a ton of cc, though. That's the one thing that I'd say is above average. Damage can be, of course, but it's also super situational.I mean, I remember when locks were actually tanky. Like legit. We had higher stam gear than most casters. I'd throw on that crap and stam trinkets for caster off-tanking in ICC. That hasn't been a thing in a while. That demo meta tank crap was pretty fun in MOP. That hasn't been a thing in a while. You had insane self healing with ember tap, briefly. That hasn't been a thing in a while.I'd describe lock at being good at some things. Yeah, for sure. It definitely has some pros. I wouldn't say tanky is one of them, though.Unless there's something else, that these folks have in mind, other than what I've already covered.
We do have self heals. I wasn't saying that we don't have them. Sorry for the confusion on that. They're just pretty terrible compared to some. Well, to a lot.Unless you're talking affliction with drain life.Destro has a sub-par wall, a sub-par healthstone, you don't really use drain life as it's pretty underpowered for destro. On live, people take Demon Skin (post several nerfs) cause it's still better than Dark Pact in almost every case (DP buffed in SL so dunno, yet).On live, you pick between mobility with Demonic Circle or self-healing with Mortal Coil. It's situational. That being said, the self-healing for Coil is pretty small (which, I'm not arguing. That makes perfect sense considering it's primarily for CC and the healing is just a small bonus). You might be in a situation that you'd use that for self-healing - but you're probably going to use it to either disrupt someone or setup to kill something. In other words, the CC aspect is more important than the small heal. This is now a non-issue due to Circle being baseline in SL.You could talent into GoSac and sac a Voidwalker for a temp heal. No one uses GoSac, on live, though so a moot point. You also lose an interrupt that way, regardless. You could PVP talent into Demon Armor. That's a decent bit of protection against physical damage. I'd say that's less impactful than it might sound, at first, given that a lot of melee damage isn't physical, these days.Am I missing anything? If not, that's, literally, every defensive that you could opt into (and miss out on other things, tbw) and none of them are really that good. That's okay, though. I don't think that Blizz wants us to be very defensive. We make up for it with available CC.That's a fair trade.BREAKIt's just important to note the distinction between game flow control/cc/disruption and tanky/toughness - because they are two different things.Locks are great with one. Not so great with the other. That's entirely fair, I'd say.BREAKHunters/DH are pretty mobile so you can get by with not being tanky. That's a fair trade.Rogue's have lots of CC. Same deal. Fair trade. Bleeds aren't physical, right?I know next to nothing of monks or shamans. Can't comment anything useful, there, unfortunately.DK?From what I've seen, DK is pretty well suited to counter lock with grips, anti-magic, self healing, etc.The DoTs are magic damage, right? Not physical?BREAKWhat, specifically, are you referring to for "higher armor"?BREAKI'm at 466ilvl with 509k HP without talenting into Demon Armor. 534k HP with the armor.Am I super low gear or are your numbers wrong? I dunno.BREAKYeah, I'd be curious to find out about this lock with a lot of healing. What spec? How much CC was done on this enemy healer?I mean, as I said above (which is why I did a spell-by-spell/talent-by-talent breakdown), there's just not a lot of opportunity for that to happen. That's pretty weird and confusing.
