let's be honest here Pre_Patch event is so bad no one want to stick to it for 4 weeks and they know it that's why they didn't even try to polish it and its like 10 quests and just go kill rares for your life time that's it + no one need to adapt leveling u have 120 character already or you are a new player and have a 120(50) boost ready to apply.plz to more time gate for this boring content
Prior to October 26th is the only bet that is 100% sure to pay off.
Boring is subjective; millions of people feel differently than you.Actually, no one on Earth feels exactly the same as you about anything, but I digress into psychology, sociology and brain function now. Bit deep for WoWhead I think.I happen to be looking forward to the pre-patch stuff, but not champing at the bit. When it comes, I'll run through it, on all my toons as I always do. Will it make me jump for joy and scream my satisfaction from the rooftops? Probably not. But, it's something new to do in-game. I'd rather there be new mediocre content in the form of a pre-patch event than nothing at all.
I believe the patch will hit BEFORE October 27. I have a hunch
Sad. With many of us still dealing with quarantines and dealing with covid, a lot of companies have stepped up to provide more with this in mind. I understand they are still testing, tuning and polishing and the announcement of the prepatch prepatch was good news. I wish they'd release that sooner rather than later to give people a way to connect with friends and family again in Azeroth and not make us wait even longer. Many people are itching for the character customizations and to level with this new system all over again. There would be plenty to hold people over and bring them together. Fingers crossed, regardless of the PVP season, they release on Sept 22
Soon™
I'm going to assume it'll be september 29th. There have been situations before where players have been getting more XP/Rep than they usually could, simply due to a coincidental turn of events. Obviously it would be a bit major in this case, but still. Perhaps they'll adjust the buff.
Man its been so long since i haven't seen that cata login screen
I am really hoping that the pre-patch starts on the 22nd of September - I am looking very forward to the scourge event! I remember Wrath and it’s pre-patch event- I LOVED IT! I am very saddened by the fact that this event was nerfed because people complained and cried about it. Regardless, I am hoping the pre-patch will go live on 9/22/20...
I'd say October 1st. 2 weeks after the last Afterlives. They will announce the end of the rated PVP seasons just after releasing the last Afterlives video.Blizzard always gives at least two-week notice for the end of rated PvP seasons
One thing that nobody seems to be considering about that "two weeks" rule that Blizz follows. This year has been really screwy for game developers.Covid19 made a lot of game development go weird this year. Reorganizing teams, transitioning to Work at Home, and so on and so forth. I do work at home myself (call center work is the most I can say about what I do) and just swapping from an office to my personal space took more than a bit of effort, organizing, and so on. Now imagine doing that with specialized computers and hardware designed for graphical design, game development, and the like. For all we know, Shadowlands was originally supposed to be out by now and Blizz just got lucky with Covid19 hitting far enough back that they didn't have a release date to delay.I'm with some of you, they'll probably announce it at the end of the last Afterlives video... but at the same time I wouldn't be overly shocked if it was the week after it. Blizz wants this out, they want the forums to stop being people groaning about how godsawful Battle for Azeroth was, and they want to give us time to fool around with the new leveling system before the expansion hits at the end of October.I'm not saying it will be out sooner... but I am saying that if Blizzard can get it out sooner rather than later, they will do everything in their power to do so. After the last few years, they NEED a win.
I don't think it makes a lot of sense to continue the PVP season given the large swath of systems changes that always occursI'd wager the 29th with the 13th being the latest they can delay launching, although 2 large scale patching being released 2 weeks apart might be a bit meh to some players
They should be stretching this out as long as possible. 2 weeks for pre-patch max. Everyone wants to have fun with corruption before it's gone. There is no benefit to a 4 or 5 week pre patch.
I think the original pre-patch date was Sep 22, but for reasons unknown they've had to push it back a couple of weeks.
Sadly, no matter when it releases, it will pale in comparison to Legion pre-patch.
