People are way angrier about this change than they should be lmao. It's such a miniscule practically nonexistent change. due to the level squish the 2 level difference is basically null and void now, and the gold cost for flight training is dirt cheap.
You really didn't need to stretch this one so thin just to make an article to generate traffic. How is this even a big deal? "it is a serious blow to one of the unique themes of being a Druid." "with some players insistent on no classes having advantages that others don't" This is just too dramatic for a very trivial change. Druids will still enjoy instant cast flying and interacting with tons of stuff while mounted without the need for mount equipment or special mounts. And besides, who even said it makes sense that the knowledge to perform all these powerful spells just... pops into my character's head because I killed a bear? Is it really so weird to go back to an NPC to teach you how to fly? Whatever you all are on, I want some of it!
druids malding haha
This is why we can't have nice things, because we cannot tolerate other people having nice things. And we are only in a game, too, where things really don't matter. You can roll a druid too if you think they are OP.Think about how people in real life complain about other people having more than they do. You can't re-roll in life. People are just trying to drag down those who have advantages.I'm in favour of having each class be OP in its own way.
Literally NOTHING is stopping ANYONE from making a druid for herbalism. It’s not an advantage that only certain people have the option to get. I just made a druid for gathering and I swear, I get dumb for not doing it sooner. Everyone should just have a druid for gathering.
Oh no, how will I ever find 250g to cover this?
Ion: We want covenants to have severe upsides and downsides, so they feel like a meaninful choice. Also Ion: We're further homogenizing a class, to date the most meaningful choice in a game, so that its less meaningful, and we're doing it in a very petty way.Remember, you think you do but you dont.
250 gold, just give it to them. Sheesh.
This kind of seems like someone was redoing the flight training code and didn't include whatever kludge there was for druids before, because it doesn't really matter that much one way or another nowadays. Back during TBC, it was very significant. Now, it would take effort for someone to work themselves into a tizzy over this.
