Incredible run. It's always cool to see the new strats on how the top guilds are always pushing the envelope.People can poke fun but in the end, we know what the most popular version of the game was on private servers up until Classic came out---that was vanilla. It's always had the largest dedicated community. You don't see anything past WOTLK doing well on private servers for a reason--sorry to say it.
Thats really cool. Wish my own AQ40 would have been anywhere near 30 minutes back in the days.
What is Darkmoon Faire's role in this context? And why only 2 Horde guilds? The text teases these topics, but doesn't explain them.Anyways, great article, nice to read, even for someone who doesn't play Classic like me!
Salad bakers is a great name. Lol
You got the petrification flask uses wrong - on the links to the logs you have zoomed in on ~29mins of the runs, which cuts out C'thun/Ouro etc for most runs.Onslaught for example actually used 14 flasks:https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/23djyKWkA8hbncrz#type=casts&ability=17624&boss=-3&difficulty=0Noobs appear to have used a shocking 85 flasks...yes eighty five:https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/qPGTQNWj3C2H6xJr#type=casts&ability=17624&boss=-3&difficulty=0
Its funny how an article about speed running and there isn't any mention how these guys spend hours with priest fishing IDs with as few mindslayers as they can get.
I still don't get this speedrun meta, I'd rather spend extra 1hr actually raiding, than many extra hours with boring resource/consumable farming... But gratz anyway ;)
