What, Orc? That's so weird, It really doesn't seem that much
"alliance players got the most new customizations"
Now time to add body type.
that is some dope calculating u did there
Some of the low effort allied races like Lightforged Draenei and Dark Iron Dwarves really should be folded into their parent races as customisation options. Unlock the customisation options the same way maybe but they shouldn't be separate races.
Character customization is still very poor across the board I hope they improve it over time.
I would give up everything female tauren gained in terms of new Shadowlands customization for more than four faces. Seriously it's 2020, there are player character races that only have four to six face options and humans have like 40. Yes, all the new skin colors and tattoos and earrings are cool, but when there are only four faces to choose from it just looks like the same four clones running around with different bits and bobs on top. It's unacceptable.
If you don't count the hunchback option that number would be cut in half.I still think Nelf's and Human's got the best options. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
Not everyone has the same amount indeed, but even more : not the same quality. Human Male for exemple may have some more right now, it doesnt change the fact that a lot of things are not matching together or are just plain ugly or stupid.
As stated in the wow post, this is a REALLY terrible way to measure. The factorial method here just exacerbates the perceived issue. I agree that a huge disparity exists, but doing it multiplicatively is just disingenuous. You can do this but just adding up the options and you'll get a far more reasonable approach that shows the work put in. Male orcs have their "options" doubled by just adding the hunch for crying out loud.
so... it's basically still orcs vs. humans? and orcs win? yay
considering that I can't customize a lot on my Female Human, and it's 3rd place... this doesn't look good at all2 necklaces with 3 colors each... is still only 2 options and not 7 (includes the hide option)Almost all combinations come from skin color, hair color, eye color. It doesn't make characters unique because 5 yrds away you can't even differentiate colors anymore or see eye colors... so similar are they. All other games allow free choice of color. Whatever you want. Blizzard is still stuck in 5 color templates. I honestly expected more. This is another half-cooked meal they dish out.
You forgot to point out how Orcs kinda basically look the same with very minor changes regardless. imo from what I've fiddled with - Humans and Night Elf won the customization lottery while the rest got meh.more changes in the Customization department are very welcomed of course yet even now it is still lacking quite a lot.Blood elves are still kinda the same regardless with jewelry now hidden under the gear anyways and If I wasn't lazy I bet you could make an argument for most of the horde character as oppose for the alliance characters. Also I have no idea what got orcs such a high number while Humans are rocking like 50 hairstyles at this point... wtf
%90 and %19 so i wouldn't call "lead" 19%. %90 is leading alone.
While interesting, these kinds of numbers always have hidden flaws in them.In the case of male orcs here, it’s because their numbers are doubled because of the hunch. As an example:People used to say male goblins had lots of customization options because they got so many different hairstyles, but if you actually look at the hairstyles, most of them look identical. Ironically, I pretty much only see 2-3 different hairstyles used by players, because the repeated ones are all unpopular. Contrasted with female goblins, who once had fewer hairstyles, but they were all highly unique and most of them were popular.Or another example - Gnomes originally had six skin tones, but they all looked VERY similar, so there were effectively only six.By a machine, you can’t take into the quality of the options, so some can seem higher or lower than they feel.
