I don't understand the complaints about damage. I solo cleared all my layers to level 3 (the last 3 just jumping straight to layer 3) as a tank, at about 155 ilvl. I would wager that most of the complaints about "I can't do enough damage" are coming from people who are just running the most direct route to the next level, killing as few mobs as possible and then wondering why they have so few anima powers.I've done one group run so far and I experimented with different anima powers. On the last boss, I bursted up to 13k dps, and out-damaged every dps in my group, because I had oodles of different "increase damage by X if you do Y" before hitting Convoke the Spirits. I love Torghast, I'm actually doing runs for pure fun, just to see what other combinations of powers I can get.Best advice in here is to explore each floor thoroughly and free all the souls. That main stat buff really helps. Anybody complaining about time, I explore each floor, every floor, and no run of Torghast has taken me more than 20 mins - so that's the week's stuff done in under an hour.
Torghast is a good feature and ppl complaining about it are just too bad in their gameplay, thats it. I have seen a lot speccs complaining about it in my guild, but they could manage it all. If you dont have any anima for dps, which is impossible if you clear everything, then try more defensive ones. Thats the really fun part in this feature...the runs are never the same. And btw if you struggle with 3k dps at the bosses then maybe you should start and collecting at least one anima power because wtf...3k is like always stealthing to bosses and never collect anything.
Bring mages, they have most OP anima powers allowing them to melt the last boss (Runecloth Wrappings anima allows arcane mages do 1 million + dmg arcane blasts) and frostchipper ofc
Half this thread is responding to Tomrus. Either Tomrus is a very good troll, or a very bad player. I'll give him/her some actual useful advice --- Tomrus, you said you do not clear all of the floors, in one of your many responses here. You ought to try to clear all of the floors completely, because then you get to pickup more anima powers, and free more of the trapped souls. These will buff you greatly and you can do way more damage then, to easily beat the final boss. If you don't want to pickup these buffs, then I think you don't really want to complete the run. In that case I suggest you buy a carry. If you are a good player and are really just trolling, well played.
ok I know there are 3 pages and people may not read this far, but if you are a "casual" non raiding type solo player like me, I completed floor 3 as a 151 guardian druid with only 1 death. So, as others have said, clear everything, go down every hallway, look for all the little souls to save, break every jar, and kill EVERYTHING. Most mobs drop phantasma allowing you more powers. When you get the broker I always buy the first item, which gives you another anima power choice. These can be Rare or Epic and are usually better than what they sell normally.also certain powers STACK. I learned this over time, if it says "increases damage by 20%" aim for those powers and stack them, you can get a 100% damage boost this way to a certain power, it can make a huge difference. After floor 3 start gearing toward single target damage, you won't need so much AOE at that point, find powers that are designed to boost your burstlike "with ZZZ running on one enemy it does 60% increased damage" That can he hugeBuy one of the heal pots from the broker, they are cheap and it can save you on the last fight.also go slow if you are struggling, use CC, pull one mob at a time and burn it down. Finally, USE YOUR COVENANT POWER! I am saying that in all caps because people dont use it enough. You can use, it WAIT and use it again on the next pull if you want, there are no timers so use that to your advantage
Good start to having more specific Torghast information. Most "guides" out there just go into deep explanations on the broad basics of how it works but nothing on what you will encounter in it. So if something kills you, and you try to look it up on forums or guides, you get more questions than answers. Now we need some tips focused on each wing, strategies for some of those enemies in the wings, and boss strategies. I could do formatting on a guide, but I don't know the information of each wing well enough to write one.
It looks like there are massive differences between the specs or roles in Torghast. I was able to easily solo layer 3 as BrM monk around ilvl 145. Same around ilvl 150. No deaths, end bosses weren’t very hard, even one of the harder ones that hadn’t been nerfed yet.
Scaling for 2-3 players seems off. The difference between solo and 3 person is between cakewalk and we better get good anima powers or the boss might be impossible. The difficulty curve should be smoother. On that note, I want bosses to kill me with mechanics that are interactive... not "this fight has been active for a minute, you die now". For example the weird eye boss... maybe the damage boost should only be to their artillery attack and not the main cast they spam.I also want gear from torghast. It doesn't have to be exceptional gear but being able to make progress with my small friend group would be ideal for me. It would be an option of gearing not required since there are always many places to get gear, I don't see the harm personally.edit: Regarding gear and scaling, I see my group of friends that probably won't raid or do mythics hitting a level hardcap really fast unless the venari rarity upgrades are what make the hugest difference.
