He will use Force of Gravity which is like a wind that pulls you to the edge of the platform. Don't freak out, it won't kill you, you just get spun around in a crazy circle and returned to the platform. It adds to killing time though, so do try and avoid it. There are little rises in the platform you can get pushed against to keep yourself still for a moment so you can get some casts off before being sent over the edge again. Also, there are purple circles that appear and an orb descends upon them. If you run into them or remain in the circle, they will bounce you around like a ping pong ball, and not in a fun way, so try your best to avoid.

Perhaps I suck terribly as Arcane but this is the first artifact I went to get right at 100 and I had a difficult time killing this guy.

However, after altering my build for heavy burst damage I was able to take him out popping everything and placing DoT's in addition to regular Arcane Blast/Barrage/Missiles rotation.

Just open up with your Tempest and Supernova, pop all CD's, Mirror Image, Arcane Power, make sure your shield is up and spam attacks. He should be dead well before you are.

For the love of god don't do this quest at 110 with any gear. This guy was throwing all kinds of shade. I died like 7 times. His channel would tick for 20% of my health bar and no matter how many times you CS he just keeps chain casting it. I went as fire, I just finally got lucky crit trains.

Not very friendly to Arcane Mages just getting back into the game... Wow. I was very close to switching specs because of this boss, I was able to down him with a sliver of health left.

If you geared a Fire Mage and wanna get the other weapons, it is very important to know that you can play the scenario in whatever spec you want. For some dumb reason, I tried to play as Arcane with my 750 Edict of Argus and hot damn it was HORRIBLE.
Then I switched to Fire, equipped my Felo'melorn and annihilated the last boss in one Combustion, it made an incredible difference.
I was at 30% durability when it was all over, and just because I tried to do it as Arcane.

If you struggle to do it in Arcane (which most people have mentioned) then just switch specs and it still counts!
