Negolash is located in the Wild Shore region of STV. He is summoned during a quest (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=618) from a wrecked row boat (http://www.wowhead.com/?object=2289) near the coordinates (34, 77).

The rowboat is at location 32, 82. Negolash appears a little north of that and heads toward the rowboat.

Negolash is actually lvl 47, not 52 as stated above in the 'Quick Facts'.

The buzzard wings are the hardest thing about this quest. You either need to find them in the AH (at a high price, btw) or cook them. http://wowhead.com/?quest=703 is the quest to get the recipe, or find it at the AH. You need 175 cooking to make them. I found it was easier for me to lvl from 5 cooking to 175 and make these myself, than to find them on the AH or find someone who needed the quest and had them on them.

*sigh* Solo'd as a 54 BM Hunter. Quest was green by then...

he was 37 elite as of 2.4.2. He his so fricking hard tho. I tried as a 48 sub rogue. Popped evasion twice with prep ghostly strike a few times then tried to vanish with 100 hp left to get an ambush on him. still died.... And you dont get your stuff back

Before you can summon Negolash, you have to kill the giant Mok'Rash first. He's on the small island with the goblin statue near Booty Bay. Mok'Rash will drop an item that starts a quest. Hand in the item to Captain Smotts in Booty Bay, he'll ask you to talk to the goblin next to him who will give you the quest to summon and defeat Negolash. In order to be able to summon Negolash, you have to collect:

-10 x Barbecued Buzzard Wing. Requires cooking 175, recipe sold by Narj Deepslice in Refuge Point (a) and Slagg in Hammerfall (h) or obtained through a quest in the Badlands
-5 x Junglevine Wine (sold by the bartender in Booty Bay inn)

On my server, the buzzard wings, barbecued or raw are rarely sold on the auction house, so you'll probably have to farm these from carrion birds in Badlands/Tanaris/Arathi/Desolace.

The lifeboat where you can summon Negolash is at 34,77. Negolash will walk to to the boat slowly from the water, so you're not immediately in combat when you have summoned him. Rogues for instance have time to stealth. Negolash himself hits like a truck and has a nasty knockback. Melee classes will have a hard time defeating this guy. As a 48 rogue I had to pop all my cooldowns, use a healing potion and blind/bandage in order to survive (make sure not to have any DotS on him for blind). Also, if you are melee: don't wait with a heal or healing potion when you're almost dead. The knockback will stun you, you won't be able to heal/potion when stunned and you'll die. Even though you can quickly corpse-run and fight him again, Negolash will probably have disappeared if you die and corpse-run again and you'll have to farm for buzzard wings all over again.

So come prepared and/or bring a friend. Trinket well worth it if you're melee. 1,3% dodge at lvl 48 rogue.

Much easier than mok'rash, If your a hunter as soon as you see him put down a immoltion/Explosion trap on the beach so you don't have to waste time doing it during the fight.Takes about 30 seconds to walk to the boat.

The big question is why Negolash is only a 42 Elite, whereas Mok'rash, whom you must kill in order to get this quest (He drops the Monogrammed Sash that starts the chain) is a 46 Elite.

Aside from how it would be really frustrating to get more Barbecued Buzzard Wings to resummon him if you mess up and die.

It was hard to solo as a 44 lvl sub rogue. When he died I was left with 140 HP and he was hitting me for 220 - 280 normal hits. I done it on first try but you 'd better bring some friends.

As of Patch 4.0.3 Cata the boat is now at 49.68 - 81.61, he is a lvl 33 non-elite.

Click on the wrecked boat and wait for yell: " Mmmh...I SMELL FOOD!". After this, he will spawn.
