These bats have one of the higher drop rates (as horribly low as it is) for the Jeune aile de l’effroi cramoisi, but they are hard to find alive. Between the nearby quest hub, friendly NPCs that will attack anything that gets close to them, and the fact that I could only find three spawn points (with one of them being fairly far away from the other two) - these aren't worth going out of the way to farm for the pet.

There are quite a few Chiropteffroi affamés in the area, but they still have a slightly lower drop rate than the Chiropteffroi carnassiers near Castle Nathria, which makes a big difference when the current rates mean a difference of around 300 kills. (Plus the trash near Castle Nathria is way more likely to drop gold & valuable items, rather than a big heaping pile of Croc fendus.)
