He was soloable as a level 66 felguard warlock. I just kept corruption and CoA on him while I spammed health funnel.

He was surrounded by 9 Talbuk when I found him, but they did not help him when I attacked.

Spawns in front of his herd, and is always found near them. Also, is immune to fear, hamstring, frost nova, etc.

Soloable as a level 65 Full frost mage, Full use of shields ice block and blink to kite him while your pet tears him up, making sure that when he turns on your pet you take advantage and frostbolt etc.

Easily soloable for Druids, Paladins and Shamans. Immune to roots and snares but can be stunned.

Has a particularly annoying knockback he can spam or sometimes not use at all. Gores for 70 dmg/tick (insignificant).

Did this at 68 as a 40/0/19 mage. Pull with frostbolt, kite with ice lance, fireblast when clearcast procs. Blink when it's up. He has a knockback attack (talbuk strike) which thankfully knocked me in the direction I was already going. Don't know if I just got lucky or if it would do this every time, but this was the only time he touched me the whole fight. Pull south to the road north of Oshu'gun, then east towards Telaar.

Edit: I suggest not doing this. Still waiting on a response from Blizzard, but every time I do this I am unable to loot him. Logging out and back in does not fix the problem, either.

Warlocks: if you are enslaving Felguards from Forge Camp: Hate to solo these bosses, you may notice they resist and break a ton, at least that's what it seemed to me.

I switched to Forge Camp: Fear to get one and no resists, alot less breaks.

Bach'lor and his herd of 9-10 Talbuk spawn at 26, 52 on a 4 minute respawn timer.
The Talbuk's that spawn with Bach'lor are level 64-66, are non-aggressive, and do not help Bach'lor when he is pulled (as long as he is pulled AWAY from the herd, if you pull him while amongst the Talbuk they will agro to you).
Beware the patrolling Mountain Gronn's and occasional Living Cyclone.

Excellent place to AOE grind/powerlevel a Prot Paladin with an out of party healer.
A 70 Druid healer with skinning is best imho.

Soloed Bach´lor as a level 64 BM Hunter with full green/blue TBC items. Kited him all way in to Zangarmarsh.
My tips: Only use Arcane shot ;)

If you're a hunter do not kite him too far away or you wont be able to loot it. Stay near Maghar Procession if you're a horde go around in circles.

For Demonology Locks:
Pull with a Rank 1 spell to get him away from his Yellow followers who get drawn with pets AoE (I used CoR)
/petattack to gain aggro when safe.

Apply CoA, Corruption

Renew Corruption

Basically, heal your pet and renew DoTs with the emphasis on HEAL YOUR PET. Take it slowly.

Solo'd as 67 Feral Druid, not very well geared.
I just dived straight in and pounced while he was in the middle of the group, and they didn't stop to aggro me. I had to use maim to get off a healing touch and lifebloom, and blew war stomp to do the same again near the end of the fight, but not difficult.

Soloed as a 65 frost mage with a bit of difficulty. He hits very hard so I pulled with my water elemental used a spell power trinket and started frostbolting him. It's important to get in as many hits as you can before he reaches you. Then I recasted ice barrier and used lifeblood (herbalist ability) and mana shield and a fel blossom. It also helped to ice block and blink to get some time for the ice barrier cooldowns. He is immune to snares and roots and runs fast although I have heard of some kiting him. He is harder to kill than Banthar but not as hard as Gutripper.

Plate will have minimal problems with this guy, especially if you have self-healing abilities (Death Strike, Bloodthirst, Seal of Light/Art of War) or a shield. (My paladin had no issues (leveling prot), my warrior took a couple tries (fury), and lol dk)

Shamans, Druids, and Priests will have no problems - just heal after the knockback. (My priest took three tries, shadow dps with dispersion and Shadowfiend - Fade - Heal - Shadowform combos)

Mages and Rogues - this is highly RNG dependant. If you are level 66, the misses will eat you alive. Level 67 is recommended as you will have the flat 5% miss rate. My combat rogue took 5 tries at 66 and the best i had him to was 2000 hp remaining, using only leveling gear. Easily took him down at 67 with no gear changes in between.

Warlocks and hunters will have no issues, as per normal. (My warlock lol'd him to death)

Edit: Travels in a circle as per the map at the top COUNTER CLOCKWISE. Thus to find him fastest, follow the circle clockwise.

doable alone as frost mage, just use your iceblock and elemental to bounce him back and forth between coldsnap.

Potion and Gift of Naaru helped but doable without just mana shield abit.

Soloed as a 65 Protection Warrior. I had to use a healing potion, but otherwise my strategy was as follows:

I kept myself buffed with Battle Shout, and debuffed Bach'lor with Demoralizing Shout.
I used Shield Wall to make sure his health bar went down faster than mine.
When he was about to kill me, I cast Last Stand.
Throughout the fight, I used Revenge to deal the large amounts of damage required to kill Bach'lor.

And that's how I did it. Hopefully this wasn't too complex, and that it helps anyone it needs to :D

I solo'd him with a 65 Shadow Priest with Heirloom shoulders, staff, and the 2 trinkets + green gear. Just put up all your regular DoTs, and hope some of your abilities crit. Keep Power Word: Shield up whenever you lose Weakened Soul. I had to use one greater heal, but I still had Dispersion I could have used.

Easier than I thought for a 67 elite.

Easily soloed as a 65 bm hunter with a pet owl. Start out with Intimidation + Bestial Wrath, to let pet immediately gain high threat. Kept Mend Pet up the whole time (this was with Glyph of Mending). When my pet's health got low, I used Distracting Shot and kited him around a bit to let Mend Pet tick a few times. Took about 30 seconds, I ended up with about 10% mana, 50% health, and my pet had about 20% health.

All in all, an easy solo.

Absolutely impossible for a level 64 Afflic warlock.

I tried 2 attempts with a voidwalker, but of course - the voidwalker is garbage without talents.
Then, I decided to try to use Enslave Demon on the elite felguards up on the demon camp ahead.

It worked like a charm, the elite shook off most of the damage Bach'lor did while maintaining high threat with it's spells.

Barely need any Health Funnel casts.

For warlocks, any level doing this quest, try this and it'll be a breeze.

JUST solo'd as 67 arcane mage.. this mob is NOT immune to Slow. all i did was run around in circles.. even while slowed it ran SLIGHTLY faster than i do, got no boot chant or anything. blink here and there to maintain distance, spam instants. with enough distance i used a missile barrage proc once or twice. had to use mana gem AND a mana pot but whatever =]

Soloed as a level 66 Unholy DK he was farely easy i sent in my minion first to weaken him to 16500 (use ghoul frenzy a lot) Then i went in and got him to to 6k using my diseases mostly then i used death pact to regain health and finished him.

Solo'ed as a 65 BM hunter, with a 65 pet cat. Spammed Mend Pet, and activated BW about halfway through. Got him to 3% when pet died, and was forced to kite him the rest of the way down.

Sometime around Feb 25, 2010, they changed how Bach'lor spawns I believe. I've been farming him over the course of 2 days now and he doesn't always spawn in the same place. I waited almost 10 minutes at 26,52 and he was a no-show. Then I flew around and found him already roaming his circuit.

The first day I farmed him for over 2 hours and he always spawned at 26,52. I quit to do something else then came back several hours later and noticed that he wasn't always spawning at 26,32. Anyone else seeing this behaviour?

Nvm. I just read on another wow site (won't mention the name here) that he will spawn with the herd if any are left alive

Soloed on a 68 combat rogue, using evasion, recuperate, and a health potion to stay alive. He was immune to sap and kidney shot, and was probably immune to one of my poisons, considering all the yellow "immune" messages I was getting constantly. Now I'm wondering how I got him down at all with so little working out for me.

This is a great tactic, I used a different one tho as of patch 4.1 :

First I popped all my cooldowns and the trinket from the Overlord quest
Then I just spammed shield slam, revenge and devastate.

Wasn't a very hard fight but had pull an extra mob to get Victory Rush for some health.
This was all done in Protection spec.

Now tameable with 6.0.2. Immune to Freezing Trap, but won't do much damage to anyone able to tame him.

Added screenshots of him next to the matching Cobalt Riding Talbuk and Cobalt War Talbuk.

Now all we need are Talbuk battle pets!

Oh my beloved Bach'lor, how I have waited for the day to call you mine. The day is finally here!

Bach'lor has a wide pat area in Nagrand, near the Forge camp FEAR and HATE. You should just fly or run around until you see him. He is an easy tame. The mobs that pat with him do NOT attack you once you begin your tame. Not too many mobs around that you would have to kill in order to tame him. Fantastic looking pet, really large. Good luck!
