It's funny how something so simple can look so amazing. This is one of my favorite rogue transmogs even though it's essentially made up of low-level quest loot.

This questing set has been updated in 4.3.2 to show rewards for both factions and remove mismatched accessories based on user comments.

There are four transmog sets with this model, all from quest rewards in the level 30 range:

So glad to see that people think this is the coolest set for rouges! Agree with the ninja/samurai look & Helm of Assassination comment. If you want a cool leg item to go with this that adds a kind of 'bowed' look, more ninja-y I thought, try Van Cleefs Legplates of Conquest.

Nice to see this post after unwittingly putting together the same look today while doing STV for loremaster (feral druid).
Recommend checking all gear while you're questing, it's amazing what you find that's unavailable from world drops :)
I've Monnion Of the Bar shoulder(s), muckdweller gloves with bracers of unmitigated larceny, Boots of the Foolhardy which are similar to pictured above but with a silver detail rather than what looks like bronze. Still seeking matching belt.

After some basic searching, I have found the following helm to also be somewhat suitable for matching with this set (if you want something more assassin-ish looking). You can get it from three different quests, so I linked the items below:

I see someone has already mentioned Rayne's scarf, but I'd like to add that it's the only quest that can be done by alliance to get this particular color combo... so ya :)

Stumbled on the chest when doing quests on a new server with another Pytheas pally. Love the look of it so I will be going back on the rogue to farm it. Have the green pieces on a horde hunter and love the single shoulder look. Hate the head piece so just kicking around some mog ideas.

My Gilnean roleplaying guild uses this (and a Chemise noire d'apparat) as their officer RP uniform.

As for the cloak, I prefer Cape sans pareille for its dull greyish blue color.

For my fellow Hoard players, here is how I assembled my set. Mind you I did this while leveling my monk, so I'm not sure if higher leveled characters will be able to get the lead in quests or if you can just pick them up as you go:

It all starts in Stonetalon Mountains. There is a lead-in quest in Silverwind Refuge in Ashenvale. Be prepaired for a long grind, because you have to pretty much run every quest in the zone to get the get the rank of General. Doing so will allow you to pick up the Helm and Shoulder piece from the Quartermaster in Krom'Gar Fortress, as well as getting the belt from the last quest in the area.

Next it's on to Cape of Stranglethorn. Head over to Ratchet and pick up the lead-in quest from one of the Goblins on the deck, hop the boat over to Booty Bay, and get ready for another long grind. You'll have to play through a string of quests that will have you helping the Bloodsail Pirates, which will net you the Legs after saving Booty Bay from a pirate attack.

After Booty Bay is saved, take the flight path up to Hardwrench Hideaway and pick up the quest that has you collect Naga icons. Completing it gives you the Chest piece as reward.

After that, we head up to the Hinterlands for our last two pieces. I ported back to Orgimmar, hopped the airship to Undercity, and took the flight path from Brill to Revantusk Villiage in the Hinterlands. Head up the pier and into the Village, and pick up the quest to kill Thornar Thunderclash from Elder Torntusk on the top floor. Doing so will get you the Boots. Also of note, if you missed the belt in Stonetalon for some reason, you can pick up a second belt that matches the belt here.

After you turn in this quest, go back to the pier and take the flight path to Hiri'Watha Research Station. Do quests here until you get the Shell of Shadra quest. Turning that in will give you the Gloves, and the last piece you need for the set.

And that's it. The whole run took me around 4 hours, and netted me 13 levels. As I said, keep in mind I did this all while leveling, so it will go much faster for someone of a higher level. Happy collecting everyone.

This says monk to me, moreso than rogue. The (relatively) heavier armoring gives slight military overtones, evoking the soldier-monk on the front lines, rather than the guy about to slit your sentry's throat. The cloth look to the pants reinforces this.

So what do you do, if you finished the quest for the pants weeks ago but didn't keep the pants. It's not available through Item-Self-Restoration anymore.
Seems like there is no other source! :'-(

All alternatives are not as dark-black/blue-black in color as the rest of the set.

I put together a version of this set for my feral kitty—I like that it looks martial without being too rogueish, but I added a few touches to dress it up a little from its humble level 30ish beginnings. :)

Waist: Ceinture en peau de raptor
BoE; crafted leatherworking from Alliance-sold pattern (can learn on Horde if you already have the Horde version); requires level 28

BoP; bought from G'eras in Shattrah for 130 JP; requires level 70

Hands: Gants d'assassin saccage-soleil
BoP; drops from Champions' Cache (3rd boss) in Trial of Crusader 10 or 10H for Horde only—sorry!; requires level 80

One of the WORST sets as far as looks go, and there sure are a gazillion pieces of it to delete, go through, and manage. If anything, Blizz should have skimped on THIS set ^^ and instead put the effort into increasing the look of Discovery Armor (Recolor) which is attractive, novel and most of all, NOT ugly.

Just like to give a tip to fellow moggers, for those who are too lazy to complete the Bloodsail questline, I find that Jambières d'ingénieur honoraire en peau for monks or Tier 9 Leather from the Argent Tournament seem to fit it pretty well. The best part is the feet is really no different too so you don't have to feel compelled to farm the feet if you already have Tier 9 feet from the Pandaria questchain. Obviously this would be Horde only, not sure if the Alliance equivalent would match.

EDIT: So I made an Alliance rogue with pretty much the same transmog, and I'm happy to report that Leather Tier 9 legging fits very well as well.

Figures, the only black colored legs of the same model are from a Booty Bay quest. Guess it's farming Bloodsails until the goblins don't want to murder me anymore...

Can't lie, this is still one of my absolute favorite transmog sets for my leather wearers. For a low level set, it is amazing looking. Tied with the Assassination Armor for just wicked looking rogues. I like these as opposed to the Bloodfang set, as that makes me feel less like a stealthy badass, and more of evil trick or treater. Honestly, that set kind of looks more appropriate on a warlock. Just my 2 copper though.

With 7.0.3, you can now get this set in Mail so your hunter or shaman can use it. You will have to go through and get all of the pieces again, they do not convert from leather to mail, but the quests that award these pieces automatically turn the reward into mail.

Was cool to wear this on my newly leveling hunter.

For those of you wanting this set on an alliance toon here's a quick rundown:

Start in Desolace at Officier Jankie, /way 54.2 9.2, who will offer Dérouté !, take her gryphon to Nijel's Point and complete Tâter le terrain and Les cadeaux d'Élune. Then accept Ethel Rethor which is the start of the chain containing Rapport : le retour which rewards Gilet d'eau qui coule.

While doing this also take the quest L'épave de Karnitol from Kreldig Ungor, /way 66.2 9.6, also at Nijel's Point. Completing this short chain rewards Bottines du chercheur from L'épave de Karnitol.

The final Desolace quest is La mauvaise herbe from Botaniste Ferrah, /way 58.6 48.6, rewarding Spallières suture-perforations; there may have been one very quick "talk to xx" quest to open this one up.

The next two items are available in Dustwallow Marsh from a bunch of quests available around Swamplight Manor, /way 55 26.
Pick up and complete the quest chains offered by both Mordant Grimsby and Jarl « Oeil-des-Marais ». The starting quests are Qui hante la Colline des sorcières ? and Les cuisses de grenouille des marais respectively.
Ceinturon criard de Grimsby is the reward from Nettoyer la Colline des sorcières and Presse-boue from Affamé comme un Ogre !

The last item I had to track down were the Pantalon de Baie-du-Butin, found in the Cape of Stranglethorn. Unfortunately these are the only matching legs in this color scheme. Massive kudos to RagingGamerGirl for her extensive post on the quest chain required to obtain these trousers. See her post at Pantalon de Baie-du-Butin in the comments section, it saved me sooooo much time. The whole chain starts with Il faut faire trembler le trembleur from MacKinley « Loup des mers » inside the building at /way 42.0 73.4. The quest which awards the pants is La fin de la Voile sanglante which starts and ends at Baron Revilgaz, /way 41.0 73.0.
