This is my favorite set of all time and I don't even play a mage. Whoever was lucky enough to get this set (I know not many because Vanilla Naxx was super hard to even get to) I envy them. This set just looks awesome and even though there are recolored versions they just don't look as good as the original T3.

The perfect Frost set. For some reason Blizzard is bringing back t0.5 dungeon sets @ the new Darkmoon Faire but no love for the long-unavailable T3.

One can only hope that Blizzard makes this set available through the Darkmoon Faire. By far the prettiest mage set ever made, especially for a frost mage - the only thing that comes remotely close is Tenue de parade de Tirisfal.

There's no class restriction on the item, and it shows up in Priest-wearable TMog sets. Is this actually equippable by my priest?

For anyone looking to make a complete set of this, here are a few (Okay, more than a few!) options that I've found that works pretty well with the set:

For cloaks, I like Precise Sprite Cloak or Used Bar Rag (Note - you have to do the quest Family Secrets in Stormstout Brewery to get it the rag, and is only available to mages).

For off hands, both Sapphiron's Wing Bone and Talisman of Kalecgos, Watchful Eye, Scepter of Murmuring Spirits, work wonders with their frosty look.

For one handers, Fang of the Leviathan, Dragonscale Encrusted Longblade, Wand of Cleansing Light, Rimefang's Claw, Frost Needle, Midnight Sun, Bleak Coldarra Carver, Slayer of the Lifeless (Who DOESN'T want the Sword of a Thousand Truths?), Anarchy, Hailstorm (My personal favorite of the bunch), and last but not least, Razorscale Talon. (So... many... options...!)

For two-handers, Grand Magister's Staff of Torrents, Ethereum life staff, Shaft of Glacial Ice, Greatstaff of the Nexus, and Frostscythe of Lord Ahune (Only obtainable during the Midsummer Fire Festival. May or may not make you the badass you look like. Please do not wave around fire elementals, injury may occur. Other restrictions may apply).

Other gear: Strip of Remose, Cowl of Icy Breaths, Wang's Unshakeable Smile, and my personal favorite, Robes of the Guardian Saint (Leia? Is that you?).

Okay okay, so I might have gone a bit overboard, but this is literally my favorite armor set in the game. It just screams out for choices!

I've gotten quite a few, but I'm sure there are more out there. If you have any other options that you think would look great, please post them! I'm sure others and definitely myself would love to hear them. I hope it helped polish off that frosty look you (or at least me) were going for!

What a shame that Blizz doesn't offer Tiers 1-3 in "Timewalking" raids of Molten Core, Old Naxxramas (Stratholme), Ahn'Quiraj, and Blackwing Lair/Onyxia's Lair.

I also have this fantasy that Blizzard would even consider adding 8-piece and 9-piece bonuses to gear again. That would be so badass, like back when a SET was a SET.

For me the best head for this set is the crown of the priest tier 3 that now you can take from black market auction house and you can transmog because is cloth. The head is this:

I've encountered this before, and I want to make this statement:
DON'T get this set on a user who can't transmog it if you're getting it for Legion (ie Warrior, Paladin, etc.)
Although you can equip it, it WILL NOT count towards your transmog collection. It MUST be on a Mage, Warlock, or Priest. ~~I can't find the tweets confirming this, but it's just how to transmog system is so far.~~ CONFIRMED. This could change in the future.
I want to note this, as I'm currently gathering the Dreamwalker set on my monk. I saw a warrior grabbing the Frostfire set.
If this doesn't turn out to be true, I'd rather be safe than sorry and lacking a lot of gold and vendoring transmog I can't use.

I obtain 5/9 Tenue de parade de givrefeu set items from Black Market Auction House (you don't need Legs/Wrist/Ring/Feet)
The other items that match this Xmog set (legacy Mage T3) are:

Staff: Cherche-âme (no longer available)
Staff: Edit d'Argus (best replacement)
Sword: Averse de grêle
Off-hand: Talisman de Kalecgos (glows good ingame, but not on WoWhead)
Cloak: Vareuse de la cime Pas-de-Lièvre (looks good ingame, but not on WoWhead)
Tabard: Tabard de givre (unnecessary)
