Lady Sylvanas Windrunners is a ? Boss in the Undercity.

Sylvanas periodically vanishes and reappears elsewhere. She also runs around to random members of the raid, regardless of tanking, to shoot people from range. She summons skeletons as well but considering the waves of UC guards that will be spawning they will not be your primary concern and can be easily taken down. Her erattic vanishing/reappearing and running around can lead to unavoidably pulling Varimathras if she decides to visit him. This can be a problem and he has some tricky abilities, however, his HP is much lower than Sylvanas and he can be quickly killed.

Even if I play Alliance I know I will never finish this Achievement. I do have some kind of respect for her because he just tried to win her peace after she fallen under Arthas blade, Frostmourn, defending his own homeland. I think she highly deserve the peace.

Spoiler warning!

Varimathras will lead a group of Forsaken against Undercity itself. After you finish the quest The Battle For The Undercity, you will no longer see Varimathras in Undercity (if you are a Horde player).

Considering it, the Alliance players will no longer see Varimathras too. And I suppose that Blizzard wil turn Sylvanas stronger, facing the fact that she no more can have the Dreadlord's help.

Yeah, Sylvanas will be an asskicker again.

Now they put a big bad orc to watch over her and, also, help punching any Alliance that get too close.

I can confirm, should you and your raid attempt this achievement (patch 3.0.2), Faerie Fire will prevent her from vanishing. It is also recommended you have a tank hold Sara (the Strand of the Ancients battlemaster); not kill her (as she respawns too quickly).

It quite hard there is battleground master around her,and her elite guard always appear to help her,she also teleport aways to another side of room as well.

A message for those somewhere on this chain: (or any other part of the chain)

You can obtain the achievement even if you are somewhere on the chain related to getting assistance from Thrall or the battle of Undercity. Even if you abandon the quest you will still see the "invisible" version of both Orgrimmar and Undercity so the only way to do the achievement is to be in the raid that will kill the bosses and simply be in the boss room! Your presence is enough for you to get the achievement criteria complete! :)

Here is a proof screenshot for the people that doubt me.

Explanation of the odd situation:

The quest chain adds a flag on you that makes you automatically enter a "invisible" state where you only see npcs and events in Orgrimmar and Undercity that only people on the same chain can assist and help you with.
While on the chain you can not interract with the regular Orgrimmar or Undercity!
Abandoning the quest (the one you are on) does not help revert the flag on your character, you will still see the illusion versions of the cities!
Only way to get the achievement is to be in the boss room on the slay (and in the raid tha has tagged the boss).

==> If this applies to you then here are some quick hints how to manage to get to Sylvanas <==

Once you get close to Undercity, go to the back-entrance.
Unequip gear if you wanna save money, if you dont got time just rack up and do the best to get as far as you can before dying! Dig deeper and deeper forward closer to Sylvanas room!
Once you manage to get trough (you will have died like 3-5 times), simply stand on the platform and wait for the raid to kill her.

As a shaman I used Earth Elemental, Earthbind, Stoneclaw, e.g. This way I could run more before getting killed. Using potions, Ankh, Soulstone (e.g.) in the right (empty places) where you can ress and mount and then charge more is important, it will help you save time. Lets hope that your raid aint too fast to kill it before you manage to get there in time... Good luck!

Just did this last night with my 70 pally in a decent raid group. There were around 15 80s in our group with 6 of them being tanks, 8 being dps and 1 healer. The rest of the group was a ragtag team of 70+ and a few 40+ baits. We entered through the hole the guys using the fp take out of the city. The only problem is when she disappears and reappears somewhere else, as this will break your targeting. Just make sure she's marked and it should be an easy enough fight.

Edit: There is also an enemy that has an AoE fear that is near unresistable and fears you for 5 sec. Make sure you can find and down her ASAP or she will just be a huge pain.

Tried killing her tonight, got her to 56% then she evaded, got her to 18% then she evaded, after that she just kept evading more and more frequently forcing us to a wipe. She only seemed to do it when she was near the steps that are located behind her the steep set... Very dissapointed.

Having people in your raid on this chain can cause the Dark Lady to Evade or reset so better to just leave them out of your Raid...

When the players on the chain are close to the back stairs they will trigger the Dark Lady to speak with other NPC's for the quest. She will interact with them and then when she is done talking to them she resets for the raid group when the players get ported back to SW. We learned this the hard way.

A) The people with this quest can't fight the Dark Lady they are bascially dead weight.

B) They cause the Dark Lady to reset.

C) Leave those that have not completed Reborn from the Ashes out of your raid they are no use to it..

Sylvanas was definitely the hardest of the four for our raid. If you have the choice, stop and kill everything on the floor around her platform and anything that follows you in before you aggro her and the other people on the platform. Also, watch out for keeping her on the platform - we wiped once due to the fact that she was kited off the platform and her health reset. Faerie Fire is extremely useful to keep her from blinking in and out, and that ought to make it easy to keep her towards the center of the platform. The only other thing to be aware of is that some of the NPCs are rather quick respawns, so that could end up being tricky if it's taking you a while.
