As of 3.2.2, this gem gives Holy Priests the highest sustained HPS (not including Dragon's eyes).

Honestly not sure it's worth it. I've got these in all my T9 and better stuff, but in the end, it's really not much of a boost.

Each point of intellect comes out to be 15 extra mana and 0.006% crit chance. The different these gems make over Brilliant Autumn's Glows is 60 extra mana and 0.02% crit chance. The cost, at least in my server, is around 250g for one of these, and only 10g for an Autumn's glow. Aside from the sake of status and min/maxing to perfection, is it really worth 240g more for a whole 60 extra mana and 0.02% crit chance?

My current gear has 11 sockets total. Using all King's Ambers means these gems add an extra 3,300 mana and an extra 1.32% crit chance. With the Autumn's Glows, it'd be 2,640 and 1.056% crit chance. A difference in stats of 660 mana, and 0.264% crit. The cost difference? 2,640 gold.

I'll likely still use them, just to get the most out of my gems. Just keep in mind, the difference is very minimal, and the cost is rather large. Don't let people pressure you into thinking you NEED these gems. Brilliant Autumn's Glows are perfectly fine.

Dear Mages,

Please do not put these in your gear. Even with Arcane Mind and Mind Mastery, you get way more gemming with Runed Cardinal Ruby (even if it goes against your socket bonus).

If you were to choose between a priest with full epic gems or one with full rare gems. The gear and skill is likewise. Who would you choose?

I saw this put into what looked like a Blue Socket. Any idea how this is possible?

To see what I mean, look up on wow-heroes: Server: Alleria, player: Conchris

On her Shoulder piece, she has one yellow socket, one blue socket, and they both have Brilliant King's Amber equipped.
