You lost me @ "...Every Darkmoon Daggermaw you get fishing is about 50g..." WTF? x10
I utilize the Darkmoon Faire every time it rotates up to not only try and make gold but finish collecting the items I don't have yet. I've never considered just sitting and fishing in front of the rabbit spawn (I usually just fish by the docks) nor did I think that Moon Moon sold for any decent amount. Thanks for the tips!
I was unaware the Darkmoon Faire would be going away for a time, this is really good info to learn. I'm close to getting my zepplin on one character, and have been buying replica gear on others, so I need to put a little more focus on that. Thanks!
What kind of maximum price would you pay for a Token with gold? Do you prefer to pay for your game time with a paid subscription even if class yourself as a gold-maker? Do you buy Tokens to give yourself some gold in-game, if not how much gold would you need to get before you did so?This comes entirely from the perspective pf someone who's paying for his game time - i'd much rather pay somewhere around 200k as that is more reasonable then the 400k the token price is currently trying to reach(as per wowtoken.info stats and recorded history for the eu realms) and from what i can see it might reach it by the time BFA goes live, but at the end of the day if the price goes above 400k gold i might consider spending some cash on a token as i'm not someone who farms gold religiously, mainly due to time constraints, but if the price goes high enough yea i won't have an issue dropping 20 euros but not on a regular basis as it takes the fun out of stocking for the entire week and then dumping all the ore/cloth/herbs/flasks and what ever i come accross that i think might sell on the AH just so i can see Accountant going nuts after it sells!
The token question is a good one. I have been playing off the token since it came out (outside a few exceptions), but I'm not a real gold farmer. Its basically been gold from the mission tables thats been paying for it. But in the US its right at 200k now and its making me wonder at what point does the gold from the token become more valuable than the $20 for a token (or the $13-15 a month for a sub). Mix that question with my paranoia that the price of the token isn't entirely organic, and it makes for an interesting internal debate.
Does anyone know if you can get the Darkmoon Faire EXP Buff the week before launch, and just not log onto that character? It just occurred to me after reading this post. I assume it would work as logging out with a Flask stores the flask time until you're back onto that character.
I've been stocking up on gametime and bnet balance as i can cuz i feel like the price is going to skyrocket again as we get closer to 8.0 - I think my upper cap right now is 400k, - at a certain point it's just easier to save my gold for cool things to buy and just do a little overtime
Honestly, I think the reasons for the differences in token prices may actually just be a cultural thing. Some european cultures favours spending less on commercial goods compared to the very capitalistic NA. Would be interesting to see the differences between western and eastern europeans (both playerbases and purchases).
I don't play a lot of alts so I only recently started using the tables to gather some gold. It's incredibly efficient and as someone who doesn't really bother with gold making it has allowed me to spend a bit more freely. Also the EU wow token being almost double the price of the NA token has always saddened me.
Trying to farm Talon’s Vengence rep is a real pain in the butt for a PvE player. I am planning to use the Darkmoon Faire rep buff to increase the gains from the tokens slightly and now knowing that the Faire won’t be in early BfA makes the grind to at least honoured that much more important because once BfA drops, Legion zones will be pretty much dead and the best way to farm them will become BG’s and skirmishes.
50 g for each darkmoon daggermaw? Hm,very interesting, but i dont sure that my server has prices like that...need to check it up! B.T.W that's a good idea for my gold farming, because a price of token becoming higher every mounth and i need new ways to farm more gold,I hope that the price of the token will not exceed half a million, as in the Chinese segment
About reposting my auction generaly i do it exclusivly to undercut my concurrents whenever my prices become not valid anymore . 2 times or 3 times a day , after blizzard introduced the Blood of sargeras / class orderhall NPC vendor the market became rapidly saturated with mats ( star light roses for exemple )my favourite markets were :-Alchemy and enchant mats-Obliterum.-Battle pets -Boe epics.-Mats for cooking recipes.
I normally tend not to repost / cancel my AH auction as I tend to undercut at least 33% off market price and secondly, ores abd herbs are sure shot sales. Additionally, I am kinda rare item hunter which also gives a nice amount of gold. I would probably be doing same the next xpac
I personally use my gold to buy game time and simply stock up large quantities of tokens when I see prices on a steady decline. As for using the AH, I post every few days as my server has a lot of goblins, mechanical and otherwise, so sometimes it's a good idea to take a step back to watch what they're doing. If they disappear entirely(ban hammer) then immediately rush in and fill the void before someone else can to take whatever you can get out of it be it sniping, undercutting or just getting a share of a particular market.
it is worth to farm dungeons to sell the items quest of 10 dmf tickets ? maybe the dark moon zeppelin mount can sustain a market
Thanks for the Darkmoon farming tips, I admittedly have fallen off the wagon when it comes to farming the carnival. My favorite Darkmoon Faire game is probably Blazing Wings, though Whack-A-Mole comes a close second.
I've never seen much purpose in the garrison auction house, especially since I use low levels to post auctions. I haven't run into many phasing issues in cities. The worst issue is usually when some jackass feels like inconveniencing everyone by chain killing auctioneers. Having a trial account with a few characters on servers in different server pools usually solves this. There is rarely someone doing the same thing at the same time on all servers.
I switched from using Gold for tokens to paying for a subscription when it went above about 150K. I didn't want the stress of trying to make 150K a month, even though I'm sitting on 8M gold LOL.
Blaming the presence of poor countries on the EU for high token prices is jumping too soon into conclusions. In NA you also have the latin and brazilian realms, wich are way poorer countries than the "poor" ones of Europe. Yeah, most of the NA playerbase is in USA, but without a proper demography survey on both regions you just can't make that claim.
