Aldor factionists need these items for Inscriptions. Inscription vendor can be found at https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=20807. So far the best place to get them is Shadow Moon Valley. The drop late is pretty low, but basically any Legion Soldier of any type in SMV has a chance of dropping them.

The armament has fallen for me twice off two trash mobs in the Shadow tomb. For some reason me and others have fnd that the armaments have been falling off the humaniods in the Bone Wastes, the Tomb of Light, and Shdow Tomb.

Flip over to the "dropped by" tab and have a good look, to me these look like a random world drop with a very low drop rate, there is currently insufficient data that has been sent back from users to definitely say mob X drops these the most.

You will need these items to increase your reputation with the Aldor vaction. They only drop from specified Demons.

There is allso a Scryers version. And that is https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=29739. Those are called Arcane Tome's and drop from specified Blood Elfs

I don't know if this is the same for the Arcane Tomes, but this cannot be a coincidence as it has happened to be at least a half dozen times in game. While farming for Aldor rep (usually at Death's Door), I will kill a mob that drops a Fel Armament. If I kill another mob RIGHT AWAY, it too will drop a Fel Armament. It seems that the drops of these items are on a timer and perhaps for a 10 second window, all mobs that can drop one of these will. This is purely speculation but this has happened to me quite a few times. I suppose if this were true theoretically you could find out the time between "windows" to make farming rep easier. Just curious if others have noticed this trend.

Yeah definitely Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley if you are looking to get some of these. I've been here for about an hour and a half grinding Netherweave cloth and I've had 6 of these drop plus 37 Mark of Sargeras.

Since Tuesday April 10th, those and Arcane Tomes seem to have lowered drop rates. Their % drop chances decreased on this site and I've heard many stories of guildies who were farming these intensively and then suddenly (Starting April 10th after the patch) it never dropped.

I myself experienced this lowered drop rate. I farmed 5 hours with my bro (Warlock-Priest: VERY efficient) and I'd say we killed about 300 mobs which drop Fel Armaments and we got 2 to drop. Before the patch I remember we got 6 in 2 hours.

I enslaved the elite in Legion Hold and so we were able to kill about 4 mobs a minute.

Cannot be just me. I heard too many comments about it.

I farm Fel Armaments in Deaths Door in Blades Edge Mountains. Also, I am a prot warrior and its slow for me - faster and higher DPS groups would wipe the floor with this place from end to end.

OK LISTEN UP the best place to farm these i would say is in forge bases oblivion/gehennas in northwestern netherstorm as well over there there is also a good quest chain and tons of green drops so go there at 70 and youll be rich in under a day GL :P

It seems Deaths Door in Blades Edge has been nerfed in 2.1.2? Usually after an hour of farming I end up with 30 marks and 3-4 fel arms. So far I'm up to 2 hours with a total of 9 marks and 0 fel arms.

I have been grinding both SMV and SL for these items with no luck at all. Hours of time and no drops. I did get lots of netherweave and marks for my labors as well as ez kills and some green stuff to disenchant. Stay off the road in SMV! A roving mob will kick your GulmusMaximus if they see you farming the area.

You can always expect to see a handful of these to drop in a Shadow Labs run, along with the Marks of Sargeras. Of course the downside of that is you'll be rolling against other people for it. You're better off farming for them yourself in SMV.

To get from neutral to exalted with Aldor it requires 42.000 reputationpoints as with any faction. This is equal to 120 Fel Armaments :) Good luck hunting!

The human racial increases rep gain to increase by 10%, which means:

While grinding for Mark of Kil'jaeden in Terrokar Forest 5 of these dropped.
(Grinded 229 marks. Enough to get honored)
Dropped off Cabal mobs.
Pretty nice to get these aswell as the marks. Even though the droprate is only 0.9% (Must be wrong) I got 5. So the droprate is HIGHER than 0.9%.

I agree with the previous poster these are where the cabel guys are and the place is great, i was grinding the marks i got 110 and 4 of the fel armamants, i also got over 10 greens aload netherweave over 200 and about 100 runecloth, my bags were stuffed, i was only picking up the marks and silver by the end i was probaby there for maybe 2 hours, the drop rate on the marks was very impressive as well. I am level 70 and I only recently deceided to go Aldor, however i have semi-ground deaths door and shadowmoon valley, without much success..

To be honest even though i can use the marks any more i would still grind the arments here until i find a better place and this time i will empty all my bags, and sell the marks..

That is not an even trade. if it were to be even as far as rep. It would be about 14 marks of Sargeras per Armament, however that doesn't take into account the Holy Dust part of the equation.

I have had success farming these at Forge Base: Oblivion and Ghenna in Netherstorm. The mobs aren't too terribly bad as far as spawn rate and number of mobs.

Either my luck has run out but i'm getting tons of marks instead from Death's Door, Netherstorm, SMV. It can take upto an hour (or longer) before i see an armament, not that i'm complaining just saying ;). On the other hand, i can get two scryer books within an hour. Ah well.

Regardless the best spot i've had was in Netherstorm the forge camps, fast respawn rate and the other thing there's usually nobody there (depends on realm). You'll get 70+ marks and at least 5 armaments (if you're lucky) with one ammo pouch/quiver.

I have noticed that with the opening of QD, Arcane Tomes and Sunfury Signets have gone *WAY* down in price while Fel Armament has gone up in value. If you are farming for money, these are definitely the way to go nowadays. Trade channel used to be about 50-50 with people looking for Fel Armament and Arcane Tomes on my server, but now it's nearly 90-10 when I've watched. Also, people are offering 2-for-1 or even 3-for-1 in some cases.

Simple matter of supple and demand here, but unless they open a new area that drops the Marks or Armaments, even Scryers will probably do well both rep-wise and enchant-wise with farming these and offering them to trade for books.

Personally I found the best place to farm these at is Legion Hold (click for map) in Shadowmoon Valley alongside farming for Marks of Sargeras. A decently geared level seventy should be able to kill several demons without the need for a break in this area.

Arcane Tomes and Fel Armaments are becoming very expensive to buy from AH, there is high demand now, main reason is when you search what enchant can i do to a shoulder item people understand that it is much easier to enchant a shoulder item with the older enchants cause

a) older enchants are cheaper
b) older enchants are only a bit inferior to new ones
c) you need time to get rep with The Sons of Hodir and money plus you might don't know where to even start getting rep with them,
however you probably are already honored at least with Aldor or Scryers so you can go enchant your shoulder item immediately!

I don't seem to be able to link these in-game at all. I tried shift-clicking, and also using Wowhead's "Link" button to copy/paste the link into game chat. It just prints the item as plain text. Arcane Tomes, and all the Scryer and Aldor marks link just fine, but these do not.

Is it just me? Why's it only that one item?

An easy way to farm these and Marks of Sargeras is to go into the Shadow Labyrinth on normal mode and aggro every mob in the first room and just AoE them all. As a hunter, I'm partial to using a pet to gather them all up, MD'ing to my pet and using Multi-Shot with Serpent Spread. Usually only takes 2 shots to kill them (Plus 1 tick of Serpent Sting).

It takes me about 3 minutes per run (A lot of that time is from looting). I'm averaging 1-2 Fel Armaments, about 17 Marks of Sargeras, 1½ stacks of Netherweave Cloth, 10g in loot, about 7g in vendor trash and probably like 500 Lower City rep (I didn't count that) per run.

Since there is a 5-instances per hour max, you might wanna make your way up to Blackheart's room as well. In there you don't need to run around aggroing every, just aggro Blackheart but watch out because he does Mind Control and the Malicious Instructors have a lot more health than the trash. If you are a hunter and doing Blackheart's room, do not think by having your pet aggro Blackheart, all the trash will go to your pet, they seem to almost always go to you. Simple solution: Feign Death until they're on your pet, pop MD and Multi-Shot them to your pet.

Shadowmoon Valley, Legion Hold, it's the Shadow Council Warlocks you want. I killed a couple dozen mobs outside of the hold and Fel Armament didn't drop. I started killing the warlocks and got three in about ten minutes. The warlocks respawn very fast and a few times I even got a double spawn which would have been really annoying had I been around level 70 instead of a level 85 tankadin with 140k health.

I decided to farm Shadow Labyrinth after reading some of the comments and here are my results. I farmed all the trash on HEROIC mode before the first boss, except ONE group of mobs around a pillar. I did this to avoid activating the boss. Then I proceeded to the room with the second boss and cleared all the trash there. I looted all the mobs and went back outside, used my Traveler's Tundra Mammoth to sell all the greens, greys and other vendor items (I made bandages out of Netherweave cloth and vendored these as well). I could do this five times in just over an hour. The net gain was:

428 Gold
15 Arme gangrenée
186 Marque de Sargeras

I was already exalted with Lower City so I don't know how much rep this would have gotten.

Guild 10% Rep Bonus + 10% Hallow's End Buff gives you about 420 rep per turn in (non-human class). Compared to 350 rep which you normally get that's a huge difference on farming when you want to go from Neutral/Friendly to Exalted. Thus making Hallow's End holiday the perfect time to grind these for Rep (and Marks too).

I was in Shadow Tomb yesterday, killing mobs for Marks of Kil'Jaeden just to get my rep to Honored when I got this amazing drops... Got 3 (!) of the Fel Armament within 10 minutes, then another one in about 40 mins... so 4 within an hour... this must be a one in a lifetime flux....
Going there again... As a arms warrior with great DPS, I clear the whole tomb in 15 minutes.... and getting 1 FA per run is better than wasting time for little gold in Hellfire...

If ur really in need of these, i suggest paying the deathforge, in shadowmoon valley a visit. Was completing the quests 'Minions Of The Shadow Council', 'The Summoning Chamber' and 'The Fate of Flanis' and had 4 drop off the deathforge guardians in the one run.

Take care though, it gets a might nasty once u step inside. Had to pull the 'ole bubble n heal trick a few times, and spent my Lay On Hands on the way out. Still, it's worth it, wouldn't you say? =)

Deathforge is the best place i have found to farm for both marks and armaments....lots of netherweave so its nice for those that rely on bandages to heal....come prepaired tho...mobs can gang up on you quick if you arent careful and there is no where to run if you get into trouble. I average about 2 fel armaments and 15 signets per hour here, you may do better or worse.....thats roughly 1200-1300 rep per hour for those that cant count.

Best place ive found to farm for these and Sargeras marks is in Deaths Door in Blades Edge at 64, 67. The Death's Might felguards down extremely fast and its very easy to take on at least 4 at a time. on average i can get about 5 armaments and about 25-30 marks of sargeras in an hour. also a good amount of green drops and netherweave drop here. Im farming em right now and i've got 3 armaments in 23 minutes.

got exalted with aldor very easily, heres how:

fel armaments go for about 16g on my server
runecloth goes for about 3-4.5g per stack

i basically grinded deathforge technicians in the south eastern cave in blades edge, just ran back and forward in the cave grinding them

its a great spot! and very quiet so go there!

sell all the runecloth you find there and buy more marks of sargeras or fel armaments, whichever is more cost effective.. 14 marks = 1 fel armament.

Legion Hold. This is an excellent place to farm for aldor rep. Exalted now but i find that farming cloth here and helping guildies get exalted is more efficient. I start at the northern portion of the path and work my way up the left with wrathwalkers and the engineer guys. I work my way down the east side of the path and along the wall to the north. I go south and then west along the ridge. I basically kill everything in this path. In about 1 hour i had 62 marks, 2 fel armaments, 30g ish, 120 netherweave, 3 green weapons, blue mail legs, 4 green armor pieces, 3 health pots, 1 mana pot, 7 grey weapons, 4 of the high lvl draenic water, 3 talbuk venison, and an empty quiver. (forgot to stock up on arrows before i left) I enjoy farming this area because I know that when i'm done I have cloth for my bank alts bags, greens to DE for enchants and at least one blue. Normally the blue is a JC recipe (300g ish), if it's a weapon it sells, if it's armor and doesn't sell after posting twice. It's a Large Prismatic Shard. Once i get over 2k kills on the wrathwalkers i'll post drop rates. Happy Hunting!

Legion Hold so far has not been a good place for me for Fel Armaments.. HOWEVER.. I have gotten tons of gold, greens(vendorfor 5g) and a boatload of netherweave cloth, also 40 marks in a little over an hour.. gonna try Deaths door.

With the addition of 2.4, the trading for equivalents is becoming more scarce. Thanks a lot blizzard! Now the scryer people can get rep with both the Scryers AND the Shattered Sun in a timely manner. *Sigh* Time to farm Legion Hold again...

Yes, hit 70 about 1 1/2 weeks ago, been doing the dailies on Sunwell as well as Aldor rep quests. I've lost count of how many Arcane Tomes I've collected, 30-40 maybe. I give them to my son who's Lock is Scryer (he's almost exalted) and in all that time I've seen 2 Fel Armaments. Doesn't seem very balanced to me. Think I chose the wrong faction, but we did it this way so that we could swap rep items and supposedly make it easier for both of us to gain exalted. So far it's been very one sided.

For whatever reason, Blizzard has chosen to make the availability of Scryer rep items far greater than their Aldor equivalent. I run the QD dailies almost every day and have Arcane Tomes and Sunfury Signets just sitting in the bank. Occasionally, if I'm lucky, I'll find someone willing to trade the Signets for Marks of Sargeras on a 1 to 1 basis, but this is becoming a rare occurrence. Forget about trying to trade an Arcane Tome for a Fel Armament. (On AH (Azgalor), the price ratio of Armaments to Tomes is generally about 5 to 2.)

The game is just slanted more toward killing blood elf mobs than demon mobs. Not only do the QD dailies overwhelmingly involve blood elves (there's really only one demon quest, and it takes about 3 seconds to complete), but even the instances (especially badge efficient dungeons like Mech and Bot) are geared more toward elfin content.

Certainly, I'm aware of the feasibility of farming Aldor rep items, but I don't see any reason why in the normal course of play (i.e., without dedicated farming) it should be so much easier to accumulate the Scryer rep items.

keep it on the down low but i sopose i can tell you my farming spot.....ok go to area 52 and go to the place with all the artifact seekers and kill everything there, they drop marks of sargous or w/e there called and fel armaments allso drop decent cloth and greens had a few epic patterns drop and if you are skinner you can skin the fel hounds goodluck P.S i ground my warrior from 68-70 at this spot because they offer normal XP but the dogs are really weak so easy to kill and no one is hardly ever there besides when they do the quests down there.

Something has happened with the drop rate on these. It was always bad compared to Arcane Tomes, but in the last week or so I have not had one drop. I have a 70 prot pally that I use to AoE farm both Death's Door (right east of Toshley's Station, in the it), and Ruins of Karabor outide the Black Temple.

On average I was having fel armaments drop around 1 in 20 kills. I have counted over 300 kills now with no drops.

Actually, I found a decent droprate at the Kil'sorrow Fortress in Nagrand (around 70, 76) while farming Marks of Kil'jaden. I thought it was weird, but it might be worth a try for you.

Plenty of Netherweave, Greens, and coin, too.

At least where I farm, these seem to have been nerfed.

I recently offed 160 Wrath Lords in Netherstorm.

Mark of Sargeras: 45

Translates to drop rate of 28%, +/- 7% with 95% confidence

Fel Armament: 1

Translates to drop rate of 0.63%, +/- 1.2% with 95% confidence

The Mark drop seems about right compared to thottbot historical values, however the Armament rate has gone WAY down.. it was listed as 7% for Wrath Lords, now it's down under 2 somewhere.

yes they've just recently dropped the Fel Arm drop rate at Arklon Ruins at least. was coming here just a couple weeks ago and the drop rate was great. I've been here for an hour now and I've seen one Fel Armament. The drop rate for the marks of Sargeras seem to be the same.

Im currently trying to gain rep with aldor. I got a fair few Fel armaments ( and the rare shroud of frenzy )! and loads of marks in the bone wastes from the buring legion there. However, i now need to move on to the marks of serogras(Sp?). I know where they drop, but, do they drop for you if you are under level 68?(im level 66). In other words, do i need to level up before grinding for the marks?

I was doing the "Disrupting the Twilight Portal" quest at the Twilight Ridge in Nagrand and noticed the Deathshadow Spellbinders drop a lot of Marks of Sargeras. So, I starting farming those and in about an hour I got 6 Fel Armaments (20 Marlks also)

in the second cave at the deathforge.
I killed about 6 deathforge smith's, then
after the first respwn i killed them again.
The deathforge smith that was walking
circles in de middle around a green gate
at the ground dropped FEL ARMAMENT. So i
think it's not a 33% drop chance, but
20% or something. I confirm they do drop
it. So if u need fel armament go second cave
and walk straight ahead till u see deathforge
smith's. Just stay killing them and when they're
dead. Just go kill some tinkerers till they
respwn again.

I was looking for Marks of Sargeras by killing Death's might in Blade's edge mountain. I got 2 Fel Armament! in about 45 min... That was easy.

In The Burning Crusade, Legion Hold was a great place to farm Fel Armaments. After The Wrath of the Lich King expasion, the drop rate of FA in Legion Hold and in other places of Shadowmoon falled down to "zero" (in truth, farming about 30 minutes in Legion Hold a got 1 FA).

If you're level80 and still in need of Aldor and Lower City rep then the best place is Shadow Labyrinth normal. You still get kill rep at level80 in there and the marks drop approximately from every 3rd person.

I just did 3 runs and got 120 Marks of Sergeras and 9 Fel Armaments plus 6000 Lower City rep in total. If you've got a couple of hours spare then I'd definately recommend running this place a few times.
Also there's the vendor just outside if you don't have your mammoth so no need to be particular about what you loot either. I made about 150-200g in 3 runs from coinage and vendor trash, that's without the gold I'll get from auctioning greens/blues and netherweave. I know it's not alot really, but it's a nice bonus considering I only went there for Fel Armaments at first.

Making money while farming two reps at once = good news as far as I'm concerned :)

Must have gotten lucky. Had one drop off a Deathforge Guardian. I went inside The Deathforge in ShadowMoon Valley because of the drop rate listed for the Deathforge Smith 33%. I never saw the smith.

TBC Classic is here, and as a L79 Hunter I have several objectives at this stage:
1) Get to level cap while still technically in Nagrand, leaving three remaining zones to be quested in for max gold rather than XP
2) Get Leatherworking maxed out
3) Farm mats for craftable Ebon Netherscale set

So where do Fel Armaments fit into all this? I hear you ask...

Well the final tricky 10 points into Leatherworking are most efficiently done by crafting Drums of Battle. Drums of Battle requires honoured rep with the Shat'tar. Getting to honoured with Sha'tar requires rep hand-ins for Aldor or Scryers. I'm Aldor. Therefore I must farm Fel Armaments and Marks of Sarg/Kilj...

I've investigated three farming spots -
1) Death's Door - Blades Edge Mountains.
Result after 2 hours 40 minutes: Absolutely hopeless. Not one single Fel Armanent dropped in all that time of near-constant killing. Also complicated by the fact that I didn't have the place to myself, and was sharing with other farmers. Got a few marks and a couple of greens, but that was all. Avoid in future.

2) Oshu'Gun interior, Nagrand.
Result after roughly two hours: Surprisingly good. I could almost rely upon an Armanent with each full clear, not always, but often.
The area is also largely free of other players. Not many people seem to know about it, but inside are Terrorfiends, and Shadow Mages that also give Kurenei rep. Can be a bit dicey inside and some areas require tactical pulling, so not great for just mindless farming. Also some Terrorfiends are on a wide patrol, meaning you can be taken by surprise from behind if not careful. All in all though a very good spot. I netted five Armanents, quite a few Marks, some greens, and a nice blue Druid staff. Success.

3) Legion Hold, Shadowmoon Valley.
Rsult after one hour: The best place for pure, mindless farming that you don't even need to think about. There's a nice 'courtyard' area to the right of the building with widely-spaced demons that respawn quite quickly. I just went around and around in a loop, music playing and 'in the zone'. Only thing to watch out for is the patrolling elite who's rounds take him to literally every corner of the hold. He appears roughly every 10 minutes. Don't think you're safe hiding in a far away corner, you aint! I marked him with a skull so he was easy to spot and avoid.
Drop rates for Armaments wasn't great. I got two in an hour, along with around 40 Marks - but the relative ease and simplicity of farming makes it a good spot. Being early in the morning I largely had the place to myself. Not sure what it's like at peak time.
