Pétales cristallins are found as Fleur cristalline on the Emerald Gardens on the western area of the Plaines d’Ohn’ahra. The Fleur cristalline are quite rare with no more than two at max being up in the shard, it is recommended to toggle War Mode or find a group to phase you to another shard.

Combining 5x Pétales cristallins will create a Encens de sommeil.

To use the Encens de sommeil you need to stand in front of the Le premier Khural located at 67.03 43.72 in the Plaines d’Ohn’ahra, after using it you will gain the buff Rêve lucide for 20 seconds.

When under the effect of this buff you can walk on water and see colorful flowers on the river near the Le premier Khural, walking over a flower will refresh the buff. You need to reach the cave at 66.97 50.36 before the buff expires to open the Coffret d’émeraude (Emerald Chest), which contains the Clé en bois éternelle.

Afterwards you can head to the Trésor draconique oublié at 53.29 68.90 to open it and receive the Vélocidrake vogue-vents : dos avec crinière.

It might be good to mention you do have to follow the flowers paths, which I did not realize and lost buff

Because for some reason I couldn't get the Handynotes location tags to stay up unless I have my mouse hovered over the Chest in the lake, I have made a route you can import in the Routes addon for easier searching. Still took me about 3-4 hrs because the spawn rate on these is ridiculously low

Copy/Paste the string in the addon and you should be good to go:

Even though these flowers take awhile to spawn - it's not "that" bad as people make it out to be unless your RNG is just total doggy...

I didn't go into Warmode - but I did join quest here and there and found all of them in about an hour or so (have Twitch or something going at the same time while searching and you don't even notice/care about the time)...

Once you get the petals - combine them BUT DO NOT USE THE ITEM - until you are right there at the stone.

Once you use it you will be entered into the Emerald Dream and see really bright flowers (circular, look like toad stools almost) which can be green, yellow, pink... You only have like 20 seconds to get to the cave but DO NOT worry. You can run over the same exact flower twice or even three times or however many times to refresh the buff - so there is absolutely no need to panic here. Just get your bearings - look for the next flower and run over there. Keep hitting the same flower if need be until you eye the next flower and go.

The key looks like a twig.
Be aware - when I got the key - I was instantly attacked by 3 Snapping Turtles in the cave. Maybe you won't be - but just be aware of that and be prepared for the 'just in case'.

Now go get your prize at the Forgotten Chest :)

I wanted to update, especially about the dream-flower path on your way to loot the chest in order to receive the key: You cannot run over the same flower, but you can run over a nearby flower and then run back over the intended flower in order to build your buff as high as 55 seconds. The flowers are brightly-colored and alternate between purple and orange, so you won't lose the path. The cave is directly south of the First shrine where you use the incense, so simply turn around and use the flower path to get into the cave and loot the key.

Opens an underwater chest at the Mirror of the Sky lake, hidden in sunken ruins surrounded by Quiescent Threshadon.

Sooooo, the whole thing is indeed horrible. xD I gathered all 5 petals. Took me about 60-70min. I server-hopped. But then I didn't realise the buff runs out so quickly and didn't manage to get to another flower to refresh it. Puff buff gone. Now I am gathering the 'lovely' petals again. Doh. Just make sure you follow the river while on your way to the cave. That's where the buff refreshing flowers are.

EDIT: it seems more than one petal thingy can spawn at the same time. I just collected TWO petals from two different spawn points while in one server phase. It happened three times so far. I got the 2nd bunch of petals in just 3 server hops. Took less than 10 min this time. Maybe Blizz took pity on me.... ;)

Success! The 2nd time I followed the river and managed to get from one buff refreshing flower to the other with time to spare. There are more of them closer to the cave btw.

My experience about finding the Petals,

When started (today): I found only 2.

- I tried logging out and in Thanks for the comment. Guess what? I found two more.

- I wanted to test if that was just my luck / RNG/ or bug so I logged out a 2nd time, and when I came back, I found three more.

- Out of curiosity I logged out a 3rd time and when I came back there was nothing.

- I wanted to confirm one last time, so I logged out a 4th time, and coming back in I found two more. I believe it worths a try.

Side note:
- There are (9) spots, and the respawn is random. You might get your petals from the same spot more than once.
- If you combine your petals and your bags are full. Don't worry, your slumber incense will be delivered to your mailbox.
