Well, I was curious if this would work outside of the Zskera vaults since it didn't vanish from my inventory, so I went back to the broken waygate in the cave located in The Waking Shores at /way 35.8, 48.00. It actually DID work! The waygate now shows as "Active Waygate", and it teleported me to just behind the door of the Zskera Vaults, with a Greater Obsidian Chest which dropped some Débordement élémentaire and also Proto-drake renouvelé : ramure !

You can then walk to the door, and it will take you to the normal Zskera Vaults entrance, so it can act as a sort of a one way teleport between farming at the Obsidian Citadel and getting to the Forbidden Reach, if you chose to use it as such.

The toolbox of course also works in the Zskera Vaults if you open a door that has a broken waygate. Repair it and it will teleport you to a door inside the Vaults.

The running theory is that this toolkit - which repairs a broken waygate and then teleports you to a Zskera Vaults door - is the way to reach 29 doors unlocked if you procd Vault Az for the week and are hunting the "Every Door, Everywhere, All The Time" achievement.

Found Neltharion's toolkit on my alt at the ground floor inside the Zskera's vault. Was behind one of the locked doors, there was a big crate with tools but sadly I looted it before I took a screenshot :(
Meanwhile my main had the teleporter but not the toolkit to be found to fix it so keep the item for future vault weeks.

Edit: I actually used the teleporter at the Obsidian place inside the cave and it took me to the hidden room inside the vault. The toolkit remained in my bags even after repairing the teleport so it stays in your inventory.
There was a chest that included:

1) 2x Fragment primordial inerte
2) Proto-drake renouvelé : ramure
3) 23x Débordement élémentaire

29/03/2023, second week of Zskera's vault, found Neltharion's toolkit on my main ground floor second door from the left, left side infront of a bookshelf.

I just found the toolkit on my alt. Havent explored the whole vault to use it on the waygate. Found it in a room on the ground floor ( doubt that even matters, as the rooms are random). Sadly i picked it up before i took the screenshot, but i still took one with a designated spot for where it was. On my main i have the Waygate, but the toolkit wasnt in any of the 28 rooms and i opened em all.

so i had broken waygate on my main and i searched every single room but didnt have a neltharion's toolkit. yesterday i went on my alt, first door i unlocked i got the neltharion's toolkit, it was on the ground and nothing special needed to loot it. after that i opened all the doors but i didnt see a broken waygate, so i think its just rng and gotta wait for next week to see if i get broken waygate behind one of doors. and no you cant send it to your other characters.

Zskera Vault Secret Room:

1. Obtain Neltharion's Toolkit which can spawn in a few different rooms in Zskera Vault,
2. Travel to a cave at The Waking Shores 35.75 47.58,
3. Travel inside until you reach the main room and turn left where you will see Broken Waygate,
4. Right-click to fix it 2 times, click 3rd time to teleport,
5. Kill 2 spiders and claim loot,

I came across the toolkit on an alt in a second floor room but did not have a broken waygate in any of the other vault rooms. For another bit of info, my main did not get a toolkit but had a broken waygate in one of the rooms. The toolkit is a medium size container so it will stand out, you can't really miss it. I went to the cave at Waking Shores as there is a broken waygate there, entrance is 35,7 , 47.9 then down next to Dealer Vexil on the left. Click it twice to repair then a third time to get teleported to secret room with two spiders and an Grande cache d’obsidienne . It gave some Débordement élémentaire , Fragment primordial inerte and Proto-drake renouvelé : ramure as others have also stated.

Edit: Just to add that the same alt that found the toolkit before has now come across the broken waygate in a second floor vault room ( Screenshot ). My main did not come across toolkit nor waygate this time. I tested using the waygate 10 times and while it stated "Portal to the Unknown" as the cast, it sent me to the highest floor at the same door every time. It was a regular vault room that had a Cache des arcanes primordiales containing Pierre arcanique vrombissante and some Débordement élémentaire . Also decided to try the waygate again from my original post and it gave the overflow/primordial fragments again, minus the antlers as I had already gotten them before.

Nobody seems to have mentioned you can repeat this and get a new chest every time. I do not know if there's a cooldown.

At 2023-APRIL-17 I have entered the portal a second time (details on how to open it are already in the other top comments) and there was no chest, only two spiders to kill and they drop nothing.

So I went ahead and sold the item. Doesn't seem to have use beyond the first time.

Has any non engineers gotten this yet? I have gotten this on the only two of my toons that are engineers but not on my main or other toons. Please don't down vote this is a good question.

Now I got the toolkit, but the waygate won't show up. I mean, I have the mammoth so I don't need to do the waygate really, but it's the one activity in the vaults I haven't really done so I wanna do it.

Important note for collectors: this chest has one of the highest reported drop chances for the Cor de bataille en obsidienne. This chest DOES reset weekly like Zskera Vaults, so it's worth keeping your toolset if you are still missing the toy!

Edit: I don't think you actually need the toolkit to use the portal a second time but I'm not risking it, lol.

does anyone know if this spawns in only one vault i have full cleared all vaults up to date and have yet to loot one

Can you loot this multiple times? I think I've had it but deleted, run vaults this and last week and I' haven't found any toolkits

It appears that access to the waygate does not reset. You can open the chest within the waygate cave once per week.
To check if your character has unlocked the Toolkit waygate:

To check if you've already opened the chest this week:

/script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(75047))

If you had this then sold / destroyed it is it possible for it to drop again? I have cleared the vaults weekly without fail, wearing a bit thin now as you can imagine. I still need it for one thing.

Edit: 14/9/23 Finally It is here for me again, it is all over good luck to anyone else needing it a second time last time I EVER delete anything like this again, EVER.

Annoying item: If you already have the item, you can't loot it from the Vault, but the Postmaster will still send it to you, forcing you to go to your bank to delete the item and then picking the mail back up, because you cannot delete the mail without picking it up.
