In bag currency. Chance to drop from time rift bosses. The first for the week is from your first boss kill, but have heard other players needed more.

All items - every armour slot and useable weapons (no necks, rings or trinkets) - cost 1 Capsule temporelle dilatée and are 1/8 upgradeable (402-424). As noted below, the armour is catalyst convertable too. Convert 402 for Raid Finder mog, then upgrade to 415 for Normal.

Adding that I have got a second from a rift boss today, so not locked to one a week. I'm still not spending any until I have enough to buy the last items that haven't dropped.

These things drop from Contained Paracausality, the new weekly time rift quest reward thingie.
You can turn those in over at Shi Everbreeze for some Veteran 1/8 gear at 402 ilvl.
The gear can be sold/disenchanted for some mats or gold if you already have better gear than what is offered.
You can also transform them into tier pieces, great for catching up.

After 7 characters ran through Time Rifts and some of them multiple times, I can confidently say they drop once per week per character after their first boss kill.
Edit: As others on the page have stated, you can get more than one a week, but the subsequent drop rate seems to be pretty terrible.

So once a week I can get a piece of 402 gear as "Catch up" gear. OR I could take an hour, fly around ZC, collect whelpling stones, craft them into enchanted stones, craft a full set of 408 gear, do the ZC questline to get the enchanted wyrm crest, craft a good weapon and have that all done within a few hours and be in Normal or hell even Heroic Aberrus that day.

Remind me again why we're time gating 402 (I know it can be upgraded) gear?

It really should be a BoA item. You'll be doing the event on 1 character for achievements and reputation so you generally don't want to be running it on alts.

I got one of these from my first boss kill, and I got lucky and had another drop several hours later from another boss on the same character, so this is NOT a once per week ONLY item. It can drop multiple times, it just appears to be a very low drop chance after the first one.

I know there were some comments about how many you get a week... Well, I've gotten two so far. I have three pieces of gear that are below 402. As soon as I got my first one, I spent it upgrading one of the pieces. That was right after my first invasion. I did two more invasions, and I got another one. This is within hours of each other. Heading to get my toon that is hovering right below 400 with hopes this was not a fluke!

Items purchased with this currency can be converted into tier pieces in the catalyst to get the LFR transmog. Upgrade them to 415 to get the normal appearance.

I didn't want to bother with these, because I thought you could only get 1 per week per account (y'know, because of the quest). But this week, my main char got 1 from the quest, and the 2 twinks got one from their first timerift per week too. I don't want to believe that it's pure RNG because I don't have that.

So, do you get guaranteed one for the first rift per week per character? I will test this more

For people who have no use for these and just want to convert them into gold, the Inevitable Claymore is currently the most profitable item. You can buy it on any class by disabling the class filter. You can then equip it (if your class allows it) or wait until the refund period is over, so you can sell it to a vendor for gold.

With 10.2, these are completely worthless. You can't buy anything off Shi Everbreeze for mog or later gold exchanging. Just delete. The new time rift gear currency is dilated time pod Cosse temporelle dilatée. It allows you to buy 428 adventurer gear.

DON'T SELL OR DELETE THESE! Go to the vendor and buy Claymore inévitable - it vendors for over 120 gold.
