Ce PNJ se situe dans l'instance Scholomance et permet de déverrouiller l'accès à l'ancienne version de Scholomance grâce au secret de la 10.1.5.

Vous devrez être en possession du jouet Sac des horreurs de Krastinov et l'utiliser devant le petit tas d'os dans la salle du dernier boss, à l'étage (celle du milieu), ce qui fera apparaître Eva. Retirez bien le buff du jouet pour pouvoir lui parler et commencer les premières étapes du secret.

This is the version of Eva that shows up within The Hall of the Damned in Scholomance after players use Sac des horreurs de Krastinov near her skeleton pile in that same room. The Hall of the Damned is the southernmost room on the UPPER floor within the Headmaster's Study (which is the area where the last boss - Sombre Maître Gandling - is located).

*Please note that Fémur d’Éva does not have scroll-over text until after speaking with Eva, but the femur will still appear as a brighter bone within her skeleton pile.*

In order to see Eva, at least one player in the group must first use the Krastinov toy, which will apply the buff Modifications chirurgicales and simultaneously cause Eva to appear. Because the player now looks like the Butcher, she immediately says: "No, NO! Stay away!" and will remain in a state of fear until this buff is removed. The player who used the toy should right-click on the buff to remove it, and then Eva will be interactable. After speaking with her players can loot her femur.

Eva Sarkhoff says: Wait... You aren't the Butcher? Has the cycle of torment finally come to an end?
Eva Sarkhoff says: Come, please speak with me.

Here is her gossip dialogue for anyone who may have missed it:

Time and time again I am forced to relive the memory of the Butcher. I do not understand why you appeared in his visage, but I am grateful that the cycle has broken; even if just this once.

I fear our time is short, so I must be brief. I stashed my journal away where I thought it would never be found. If there is even the slightest chance that it has not been destroyed, it is paramount that you locate it.

The player asks, "What is written in your journal?"

I began to keep detailed records of what had happened here. Some of the atrocities were far, far worse than the words I chose to describe them. The world needs to know, so nothing like it ever happens again.

And yet, there is still so much left unsaid, so much I couldn't bear to write...

<Eva hesitates for a moment before regaining her composure.>

Find my journal, <name>; find it and gather five candles of Caer Darrow. Bring them and something else that once belonged to me to a quiet place upstairs. Set up a site to prepare for a ritual, the rest will come to you naturally if you allow it.

The player responds, "Understood, I will begin searching for the reagents."

One last thing.

Caer Darrow is not as abandoned as it may seem at first glance. I suspect you may need to negotiate with the dead to acquire the candles. Take this, <name>. It is a piece of our own essence. It will allow you to communicate with the other lost souls.

Another version of Eva (Eva Sarkhoff) will appear outside of Scholomance after this, and has the same dialogue in case players get stuck or forget her instructions.

A quick guide for what needs to be acquired & where to get it:

The Essence spectrale inerte is given to players by Eva Sarkhoff after speaking with her in Scholomance, and Fémur d’Éva is in the bone pile right next to her, but can only be looted AFTER speaking to her.
Journal d’Éva, which can be collected from a bookcase in The Viewing Room of Scholomance (this is the room with all the students and Professeur Alambic). The bookcase you want is the one to the west of the doorway that leads to Darkmaster Gandling. Do NOT stand in front of the bookcase to loot, as it can be very hard to see. Walk to the back of the bookcase and you will see it immediately.
The Essence spectrale inerte has to be turned into a Essence spectrale before players can see the other NPCs in Caer Darrow. It requires 5 Essence de non-mort and 3 Rune ténébreuse to activate, all of which can be purchased on the Auction House, or farmed quickly at Corin's Crossing in Eastern Plaguelands. ( /way #23 55.8 62.2 Corin's Crossing )
There are five NPCs in Caer Darrow with a candle to sell. Equipping the Essence spectrale will allow players to see them. Each NPC wants a specific item in trade for the candles, and these items can be collected even before players have finished infusing the trinket.
Sammy by the Caer Darrow Fountain wants the Poupée piétinée located under the wheel of a wagon at Darrowshire in the Eastern Plaguelands ( /way #23 35.7 83.7 Trampled Doll ).
Rory on the Caer Darrow Docks wants the Chargement de fumigènes non livré from the cart outside of Ezra Grimm's tobacco shop in Stratholme. To find it, just go into the dungeon, make a left when the path splits, then go left again. You will be in a dead end, and the cart you want is the one directly behind the fountain.
Magistrat Marduke is near Eva & Lucien Sarkhoff in Caer Darrow, standing just on the other side of a hearse cart. He wants Titre de propriété d’Andorhal, which is pinned to the inside of the town hall building wall in Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands ( /way #22 43.6 69.3 The Deed to Andorhal ).
Joseph Dirte is in front of a shed at the end of the path directly west from the large statue in Caer Darrow. He wants Fontaine de Caer Darrow, which can be found by grabbing the Seau d’eau de fontaine at the Caer Darrow Fountain ( /way #22 68.8 78.8 Bucket of Fountain Water ).
Artiste Renfray is in the small house near the Caer Darrow Docks, and she wants a painting called La route à suivre, which can be found in the inn at Corin's Crossing in the Eastern Plaguelands ( /way #23 55.0 64.1 The Road Ahead ).

After exchanging the items and receiving all five candles, enter the Scholomance building, but do NOT go into the instanced portion. Instead go into the northeast room on the main level of the building, and then use Journal d’Éva. This will make Journal enchanté d’Éva appear, allowing players to enter the old version of Scholomance whenever they like.

It seems that the "type" of Essence that you receive from Eva Sarkhoff depends on whether you have previously gone through the removed questchains of the classic version of scholomance.
I've been in scholomance today with a friend of mine (who helped me out with his Krastinov's Bag of Horrors) and we both got different Items from Eva Sarkhoff.
I had done all the old quests at scholomance back in the days. My friend however startetd out in WotLK and had never been to the old version of scholomance. While he got the Inert Spectral Essence which needed to be used with the materials mentioned above, I directly received the Spectral Essence. I guess that's because I previously already had the "classic" Spectral Essence in my posession. If I remember correctly you could get as many new Spectral Essences as you liked from the old Eva Sarkhoff (outside scholomance) after you had done the related quest once and deleted the Spectral Essence afterwards. (Similar to getting a new hearthstone at an innkeeper). So this may either be a weird relic of this old "mechanic" or it's just a nice little treat to veteran players.

If you can't talk to Eva after using the toy, and you are about to lose your mind like I was, then look no further.

After trying with multiple characters and waiting for a weekly reset, I stumble upon a 2008 comment that says:

She, her silent husband Lucien Sarkhoff, and Artist Renfray, are the only residents of Caer Darrow visible without the Spectral Essence equipped. If you've completed her quest chain, but no longer have your Spectral Essence, talk to her for a replacement. She won't give you another if you've merely forgotten it in your bank, however.

I'm not sure what questline or what I may have done in the past that could affect this, but just go outside of Scholomance and talk to Eva to ask for your essence back at /way 70.21, 73.70.

So I've stood twice on her skeleton pile and used the toy but nothing. I'm going to assume this is because I have yet to buy Dragonflight that it didn't work, which sucks but anyway. Hopefully this helps anyone else who hadn't bought DF yet and found they couldn't interact with her. I can't seem to find anyone with the same issue.

Edit: Turns out I was standing on the wrong pile this entire time, so that's my mistake. Don't be like me.

This quest bugged for me. I was unable to talk/gossip with her inside Scholomance. I retried multiple times and still had the same problem.

Apparently the quest still progresses if this happens. You can find her outside the instance to get the inert spectral essence.
