I waited the 15 minutes after receiving this item for it to turn "docile", and when it turned into a Docile Fiery Soul, it ended up containing (1) Fiery Soul.

These can be obtained by using the Zappthrotle Soul Inhaler (Engi) in combination with an empty Soul Cage (JC) on Fire elementals, such as Lava Flare, in Neltharus, these can be found in the room of Forgemaster Gorek.

In order to capture a soul with Cage d’âme vide (crafted by Joaillerie), the elemental must die while casting Inhalateur d’âme Zappeur-Gazier (crafted by Ingénierie). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

It said you can crush it early for awakened elements, so I did. I received one fractured glass and 3 awakened fire. The soul cages only cost ~170g on AH and ~120g for mats and crafting order. Fire is the cheapest of the elements, but that's still ~260g that I got from selling the essence, so if you did this with a more expensive one (like Air) you could probably make a handful of gold. Unfortunately the Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler has a 15m cooldown so I don't think it's the most effective form of gold farming.

Really wish it was a debuff not a channel makes it impossible if your a class without DoTs otherwise you have to depend on other people which is not a good design

Getting the pet from this thing is driving me nuts. I managed to get the Dust pet in 19 soul cages, Gale in 10, and Tide in 16. I figured I was a bit lucky as I saw another comment list 30~ for those and 60 for Blaze. However! I am currently on 112 Fiery Souls @_@. I also had farmed 3 beforehand to make one of the Engineering Weather Toys, so I'm technically at 115 Fiery Souls Cages without a pet. I'll update this comment when I get it.

Edit: After 144 Fiery Souls I finally got the Blaze Spirit. I'm free!
