In order to capture a soul with Cage d’âme vide (crafted by Joaillerie), the elemental must die while casting Inhalateur d’âme Zappeur-Gazier (crafted by Ingénierie). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

There's a ledge on the mountain at /way #2022 52.4 30.0, that you can safely sit at to camp without aggroing any mobs while waiting your 15 minutes to kill another Earthshatter Elemental to get another soul. It's also a good spot to stay and pull the elite there to kill without any extra mobs being pulled.

Horrendous drop rate. Wait the 15 minutes so Encaged Earthen Soul turns to Docile Earthen soul. 115 Docile Earthen Souls opened up and no Blaze pet. Loot table states 3% drop chance...... What to do with 115 Earthen souls?

At least the Earthshatter Elemental (Elite) is fairly easy for a Holy Priest. Your self heals will be awesome. Burn him down to 10%. Slowly hit him with 'Pain' down to 5%. Hit 'Fear'. Hit 'Shadowfiend'. Then quickly hit 'Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler'. If you accidently kill him? Wait for Shadowfiend to come off CD and hit the Earthshatter next door
