These can be obtained by using the Zappthrotle Soul Inhaler (Engi) in combination with an empty Soul Cage (JC) on Aqua Rager elementals in Halls of Infusion before the final Boss.

In order to capture a soul with Cage d’âme vide (crafted by Joaillerie), the elemental must die while casting Inhalateur d’âme Zappeur-Gazier (crafted by Ingénierie). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

A good place for grinding Âme givrée docile is at Imbu in Azure Span. There are Awakened Revenants there, a handful of which can be pulled by themselves without any adds.

What makes Imbu especially good for grinding Âme givrée docile is that at 60.44, 65.94, there are NPCs that will attack mobs that get near them. There is an Awakened Revenant, with adds, patrolling up and down the hill near these NPCs. Kill the adds, pull the Awakened Revenant to the NPCs, and let the NPCs finish it off while you cast.

Another spot is the NPCs at 56.59, 64.52. Kill the non-elite mobs and the adds at the bottom of the hill by the water before pulling the Awakened Revenant to the NPCs.

And a third spot is the NPCs at 56.23, 64.89. The Awakened Revenant is by 56.42, 66.8, so you'll have to pull it a little ways to the NPCs. But before pulling the Awakened Revenant, you'll have to first kill a couple of earth non-elite mobs, which I personally found to be a huge pain in the butt.

The Esprit des marées, which has a small chance to drop from Âme givrée docile, was the first of the four elemental spirits that I grinded for. It took me 31 Âme givrée docile (in comparison, the Esprit de trombe took me 29 Âme aérienne docile, the Esprit de poussière took me 16 Âme terrestre docile, and the Esprit flamboyant took me 68 Âme flamboyante docile, in that order).

DO NOT OPEN THE Encaged Frosty Soul IF YOU WANT THE FROSTY SOUL REAGENT MATERIAL !
AFTER capturing this, It must becomes a Docile Frost Soul after the 15 minute timer expires !

*** AND ***

IT GETS WORSE... there is a nasty 10 minute cool down once you acquire ....
So farming these are horrific.....

*** AND ***

EVEN WORSE ... If you haven't used your Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler before, its not "Equipped" yet, and thus the first elemental you engage you have to pop the Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler for the first time on the target, in combat with it, AND click the BIND ON EQUIP popup or you will not be able to use it to capture a soul. The only good news is you can do that early in the fight but because you do so, you will have to wait 30 seconds for it to COOL DOWN before you can use it again, REMEMBER you have to use it late in the fight WHILE IT DIES before you can capture the soul, so this makes equipping it first time, very important and trickier than you would imagine.

All of these reasons makes getting a frosty soul for your shoulders or whatever very terrible ! ... I despise developers who make evil mechanics like this ...

the only thing I hate is if you are farming for a frosty soul - and you get the pet instead. it would be nice if it gave you a soul AND a pet, not a soul OR a pet. :(
